About 571 miles!! That should be about 918km. I bought my first 360 with Halo 3 in another state and flew it back!

I have been reading The Odyssey but haven't had time to progress through it. I also started Lisey's Story by Stephen King the other night because I was bored. The bits I read were great, but I don't think, like with The Odyssey, I'll be progressing anytime soon.super_mario_128

Got done with Lisey's Story not that long ago. I love King; I love the evolution his writings have had from the beginning (Firestarter? I forget what his first published book was) to now (what? the Duma Key? Haven't read it yet but I want to). His books are so much more nuanced, more profound and even though you can say he uses less "shock" tools his books are even creepier now.

[QUOTE="Avenger1324"]What kind of person would sit for 8 hours a day in front of a computer monitor, 5 days a week doing the same repetitive button bashing and not really getting any satisfaction out of it? Oh wait, that's called a regular job Playing a video game is no more or less a waste of time than reading a book, watching a film, going for a walk or countless other things. If it's something you do for pleasure then enjoy it, if you don't then find something else that you can enjoy. There are far worse things a person can do with their time and money than spend both playing a video game.ilton45
I disagree with part of what you're saying. Reading a book, depending on what you read, is really not a waste of time. I'm guessing you're either younger and think you know everything, or are older and hate your life. You're awfully defensive.

Huh? Did I miss something?

If playing video games interferes with you socializing with family friends or new people. If it takes the place of dating or having a romantic life (or lack of one). If it keeps you from going to school to further your education. If it keeps you from being able to put in hard work and effort to slowly raise the bar that is the quality of life that you lead, then YES it is an absolutely waste of time. If you can manage to do those things AND play video games then it's just icing on a great cake ... and the icing is sometimes the tastiest part.

It can be a tough balance but many people lead interesting, productive lives filled with merriment, success and joy and play the hell out of video games.

[QUOTE="AllMetroids"]

i dont have a lot of money so i was thinking of buying a used 360 but people are saying i should get a new one with a warranty so what shouldi do

sensfanVone

If you are buying a used 360 that was manufactured previous to 07 I would be very weary.

If you were Lt. Chekov from the OG Star Trek you would've said "wery weary", lol.

:| But I digress.

TC I agree with Vone, the older the console the worse the chipset is in terms of overheating and the chances of your new/used console RRoDing go up. I would also like to add that it won't be under warranty or if it is you won't be the registered owner of it. Either way if it DOES RRoD on you it's junk. Expensive junk. If price is an issue I would seriously consider getting a brand-new Arcade console for $200.

I messed around with a Ouiji board once with my cousins - absolutely nothing happened. I was actually a little confused and hurt. Am I uninteresting to ghosts or something? Some kind of walkingparanormal dead-zone?
