GameSpot, why do you keep amplifying this crook's voice?
He's probably the most infamous liar in the entire industry.
And he's not a politician, so you can't even argue that his lies are relevant.
Stop giving him a platform.
At least pretend to have some integrity as journalists, for god sake.

@nilsdoen: I say that because military bark fests almost always have stale combat.

Scam.
And it's not even $40. It's $50 by the time you add tax and “handling”,
whatever the hell that means.

I just hope this game keeps a smidge of charm and heart,
and isn't just a dumb military bark fest.

“While it's common for games to shut down servers or live support for older games, in this case the four titles in question will become completely unplayable as of January 4.”

Yeah this was the question I had. And the next question, why? And the next one, is that even legal? I thought these games had a significant offline portion? And what about those same games that made it to Steam like Hitman GO ? Will they be unplayable?
So many questions...

As monumentally indifferent as I feel towards Ubisoft's latest assassin-themed talking and walking simulator,
and as much as I think 30% is too big a cut on Steam's part,
I'm glad to see Ubisoft's attempts at independence fail.

"[Steam] doesn't reflect where the world is today in terms of game distribution."
What an idiot...
It's literally where the world is today in terms of games distribution. Literally.
Not only in popularity, but the only thing that even comes close is GOG,
and that's not even fair, since GOG's entirely DRM-free.

@Skulker87: Second paragraph:

“In a statement to Eurogamer, Ubisoft confirmed that two additional titles, the city-builder Anno 1800and the free-to-play roller derby titleRoller Champions , will also be released on Steam in the near future.

“New data from NPD suggests that there are more gamers aged 45 and older than ever before.”

They had to research that, did they?

There's no such thing as an awesome Razer controller.
Not beyond the first few weeks, by any measure.
