@Barighm: There's nothing unfair about saying its mechanics are simple, or that its story is unambitious, or that almost the entire game is, “Go to that side of the ship to open a door. Now go to that side of the ship to get a key. Now go to that part of the ship to press a button. Now go to that side of the ship to manually override the McGuffin.”

I can't recall a single-player, ≥AA grade, linear campaign where the busywork felt more obvious, or the endless obstacles more contrived.

NVIDIA's past and present are littered with shady s***.

From bribing game devs to cripple performance on competitors' products in the 90s, review embargoes, deliberately reshuffling/renaming old crap to confuse consumers, lying about the pricing/features of the 3000 series cards, allll that BS with crippling their own products around the crypto mess, and now this slimy nonsense with the 4080 cards.

And I still haven't forgotten the s*** they pulled with every single GTX 970 card and its 4GB, including the one in my PC right now.

@mcstabstab: I wouldn't have given it a much higher score myself honestly. Again I think it's impressive, but not as a game exactly.

I'm glad they're altering the story. The original story was in my opinion the worst mix of sour, predictable, and scrambled.

Although I doubt it'll be much better after the change.

@Akriel_Boulve: Aliens: Isolation didn't do much new in terms of mechanics, and is frustratingly simple and repetitive in its pacing,

but it's arguably the best-realised movie-to-game adaptation ever made.

I can't think of a game I've played where I've more strongly thought, “Wow I'm actually in the movie.”

And to do that with such an influential and culturally significant franchise that's been around for over 40 years, that's a powerful move.

The fantastic graphics, spot-on art direction, run-and-hide-from-the-scary-alien gimmick, and even stilted character interactions, all reinforced each other beautifully. It's not incredible as a game, but it's an impressively cohesive and therefore immersive piece of interactive art.

I kind of suspected this.
Aside from the cool art direction,
I couldn't see anything remotely new/interesting about this game.
It's probably worth the devs bringing it up to a 6 though,
with QoL tweaks and polish,
because I imagine a lot more people will buy this than the reviews suggest.

If she was so worried about it she shouldn't have opened herself up to it completely, entirely, film after film after film for basically her entire career.

She objectified herself for money. Endlessly.

She said, “Hey that looks like a potential pothole.” then jumped into it and stayed there by choice for basically the entire length of time she had a body people were sexually attracted to.

Until she says it was her fault, at least mostly, I can't sympathise.

I wonder if going up in Bezos' rocket had anything to do with this feeling.
After all Bezos is a full-blown psychopath,
who sees the planet earth and the entire human race
as nothing more than a resource to be wrangled sooner or later into his pocket.
Or as potential slaves born to rush up to him holding a silver platter at his slightest whim.
Everyone, even those who run in his circles, can see it plainly.

It would be like seeing the earth
from the observation deck of a spaceship of an ultra-advanced malevolent alien species
debating how best to enslave the planet.

@Shinnok789: They're not worth the price but they're better than Razer controllers. Anything is better than Razer's controllers.
