Looks to me like a perfectly nice guy who doesn't hate anyone,
bullied into being now scared to speak freely.

He's not quite all the way there yet, but he's getting there.
The way he talks is getting increasingly vague, which is typically a sign of fear.
I'm very familiar with it from living in China for so long.
And he's apologising for saying things like, “God loves you.”

I'm frankly amazed GameSpot has allowed us to have opinions on this at all.
They typically don't allow thoughts contrary to their own.
Certain types of people are being allowed to control the narrative.
If your views don't line up precisely with them, then you're “anti-them”,
and if you're anti-them, then you hate them,
and if you hate them, then you want to hurt them,
and if you want to hurt them, then you're nothing but a ticking bomb,
who should be preemptively excommunicated from society or locked up,
and any violence against them is merely self-defence.

This narrative has gone unchallenged by too many people for too long,
because it wasn't directly affecting them.
Again, Pratt clearly doesn't hate anyone,
but I doubt we'll ever get to hear what he actually thinks again.
The right and the left are both turning to extremism to achieve their goals.
And as long as it's theoretically bee on our side,
we've signalled that we're fine with it.

@dragoonmike: Exactly. I hadn't heard of this mod. I totally believed it was a new Bethesda title. As will almost everyone who clicks on this article.

@robbie23: They may feel it too derivative of Mad Max.

@BLKCrystilMage: Yeah pretty much.
It's like,
“Hey, you choooose to do those things; you chose it, not us; we didn't tell you do it; it was your own choice; we gave you the option to turn back; but oooh noooo, you went on ahead and did it anyway all on your own, your choice, your preference, your decision; it was alllll you.”

Yeah, guys, I chose to do it, because I just spent my money on your game,
and I'm not thrilled about the idea of wasting 95% of it
on some supposed paternal instinct to protect a bunch of “innocent” pixels.

Like I said, I appreciated the ending.
It was original. It was reflective. It made sense of things.
However,
it is impossible to turn a 6/10, into a 9/10, inside the last 5 minutes.

I appreciated the ending,
but it was not a good or interesting game.

I'm sort of tired of hearing about how amazing it is,
just because it's conveying the narrative certain people want to hear.
