@Tanares: Exactly. You're min/maxing to your play style. Your find arms with quick melee and good disc/str for your hunter for crucible and then you farm the raid to enhance them to raid level. There isn't any "best" any more. The raid provides 2 good weapons (machine gun and pulse) and everything else is infusion material.
It used to be the raid provided the best gear and you know exactly what you were going to get. It let you focus on trying to run the raids and enjoying them, rather than running them as efficiently as possible so that you can get the most random gear to infuse into something that suits you better.
I'm guessing that infusion was to help make the load outs more dynamic, but the truth is, there are like 6 load outs used by everyone. 2 if your in Trials, really it's more like one since over half the players in that are a reslock with the same load out.
As for lack of raid right now, maybe the first set of raids in Destiny were about gearing up and then getting the best gear possible, but now the raid gear is basically infusion material for gear that you like.
I like knowing that I'm getting the best gear from a raid, rather than getting a 320 gear that maybe I can infuse into another piece if I actually have one that I like. Destiny is much more Diablo min/max now, without the benefit of the mass loot drops of Diablo or Borderlands.
@SIDEFX1 That's actually not enough said. While I can't predict the future, release sales do not determine a "winner", if there is such thing. Sales over time are what count, so no, it's not enough said.
Both consoles win, as long as they make their respective companies money. There is no console superbowl that declares one a winner over the other.
@gamestoreguy I agree mandatory Kinect is B.S., but you better write this letter to Sony too, because they are producing content to be consumed through PS4. Does that make PS4 not a "core gaming console" too? Try not to be hypocritical in your media opinions.
@Zee1027 @26whitewolf Exactly this. Sony announced they are producing content too. Sony is doing exactly what MS is doing, just after MS did it. I'm not saying that MS is better nor that I'm getting Xbox One, merely stating that most things that gamers seem to hate about Xbox are happening on PS4 as well - minus required Kinect. Sony just waited for all the hate to build up on MS, then quietly eek out some of the same strategies.
I hope people will start being as volatile towards Sony and PS4 for having media content. You, you know, not rag on either and people personal choices to like one of the other. But who am I kidding.
@SIDEFX1 @ngoss @RobDev Oh my. So much anger and yelling.
Pretty sure "publishes" won't embarrass them due to the fact that it would be cutting into half their profits (assuming a 50/50 split in console sales). That's a major source of revenue that said "publishes" aren't going to risk losing.
@RobDev I'm neither agreeing or disagreeing with your opinion, but your (and everyone that makes this type of statement) comment on more interesting games would be much more persuasive if you actually gave reason rather than a statement. I can state things like "ps4 is better than xbox because it is," but what does that amount to. Why do you think the games are more interesting, especially if they share 70% of the same launch titles?
