if you want to get hot on the geme, watch the new RE CGI move "Resident Evil: Damnation"... looks cool, I was suprised! (not like the last totally lame and crapy CGI movie Resident Evil: Degeneration, no comparison)... and the 2nd CGI movie has some of the same charaters as in RE6...

sure the beginning is lame..., and no, they're not trying to cover anything with QTE's... , like mentioned before, the QTE's are mostly used, when a zombie grabs you.. if you let you're self get caught instead of using a meele or reading the zombie movents, it's you're fault, and you're trying to use the QTE's as an excuse resp. as a cover up...

sure some bosses are re-uesed, but today, who doens't re-use some bosses.., and the overall monster variety is good..

and those "special editions" have are a decisions from Capcom, not from Eiichiro Sasaki (RE6 Director) or Jiro Taoka (RE6 Designer) resp. nothing to do with RE6 (another cheap excuse or better say "cover up"..)

the problem is the "beginning/start of the game" (prelude and the first Leon chapter), wich is actually "difficult" and starts of a bit "lame-ish" (a few flaws at the beginng, some grafix look cheapish ect..).... so the first impression is hard to shake off..

and if you're not a real gamer (and had problems with RE6), then you'll maybe be furstrated at the start.. , (yes, Games from Japan can often be a bit more difficult...), and might start to blame the game for the comming deaths.., and if you hate QTE's then it's clear why it only got 4.5,

even though it deserves about 8.0-8.5 (and as a RE1-5 lover, add another 0.5-1.0...)... with sometimes the best Grafix from Capcom ever on this Gen, probalby also the best atmosphere sound for a RE game... and maybe even the best Capcom game on this Gen...which is not a fighter game... (or ....maybe a RPG...)

(the Chris and Jake's campagne are better, even if sometimes less RE typical their gamplay is cool! also the meelefighting is cool! and the action, aside from the QTE's is as least as good as RE4...)

Zombie, Monster and Gore Fest!

just the fact, that Kevin could only mention "2" positiv things, is fishy...

(aren't the monsters cool, isn't the meele fighting cool (for a RE game), isn't the sound and atmosphere overall good, ect. ect. ect ect...)

the game deserves atleast the Meta of 77%.. (but then again, some "$%&!" testers actually gave less then 50%..., and some even less then 40% (the game never ever deserves less then 50).., otherwise the Meta would have been about 80-85%, wich is cool.. and for a RE lover add another 5-10%)

don't play the totally lame demo... (and hold thru the lame-ish start....)

the QTE's are a bit too much duringi the prelude, otherwise they useally come in, then a zombies grabs you (so you're often prepared anyways...)

Shadows of the damned got 8.5, omg.. (SOTD deserved maybe 7.5 or 8.0...)

and RE6 get's 4.5..., it feels like something "personal"

(like the tester really is totaly lame at QTE's... but then, you don't let someone like that test such a game, at least not alone..)

it's not RE who's going to go RIP, it's gamespot... with such ridicule scores and reviews...

Leon's part has "Horror" and has the most "oldschool" RE Feeling (but Leon starts of with the most flaws....)

Chris and Jake are have better gameplay and look better.. but really do seem to have less "Horror".... (but Ada might make up for that.

seen better grafix then the Chris chapters? no.. the best Capcom grafix so far..

more gameplay then RE6? no... action, stealth, adventure, atmosphere, QTEs, ect. ect..

sure, it starts of lame-ish and has a few issues, but it's never ever only worht 4.5.. (and the Demo su..ks.., agree, but RE6 doesn't....)

no, we don't need remakes, .., we need new stories, new characters ect. ...Jake (RE6) is imo the best RE (male) character...

RE 6 ist great but has some flaws (especially at the beginning)..., play it straight on veteran, if you want the "survival" feeling (not normal)... ,it's easier then RE5... (but don't start on professional)

exactly, RE6 starts of cheap/weak (prelude and 1st Leon chapter).. but the 2nd Leon Chapter gets better... (wait til the 2nd Chris or Jake chapters, look and play great)

and imo Meele fighting is cool in RE6... played the 2nd Leon chapter almost only with Meele (knife), while dancing around the graves and Helena

agree, the game is great, with some quirks (especially at the start), and should overall get about 8.0 (or more..)

I'd give the beginning of the game (the prelude and Leon's frist chapter) about 4.5... , but it gets much better and even looks great (Chris's and Jake's Kampagnes)

unless you're impatient to finsh it fast for the test, and maybe even played it on boring/mindless amature, can't see, how this game can get anything under 6.0-7.0..., it's just "bashing".... (I'd give upto now 7.5-8.5....)

..., play it on veteran, if you've ever played a RE before!.. and use meele (with the knife)....

I live in Europe, and I'm soo happy that of all J-RPGs, that Xenoblade Chronicles made it the EU I dont mind missing out on some "Tales" Games (many are stuck in the last-gen Gameplay and Storytelling, and have some have real bad engl synchros), while Xenoblade is just awesom, and it should make it to the US too (for the US fans and for Monolith sake) I hope the bad PR NoA gets out of not bringing Xenoblades and Last story to the US is more damaging than it would have been riking low sales for the two games and if the games dont make it to the US, never ever want to hear on any occasion for anything from NoA "we're doing this for the faithfull fans" if NoA can't even risk these two masterpieces

this game also has great engl. synchros, hope Last Story will have the same synchro team
