You can take a psp with you though and then play it on your ps3 also. IF you don't think it would work like that, look at the downloadable ps1 games.

The PS3? It can work, but it's such an afterthought service that it borders on "so what". On PSP - you can't even load half the pages in the browser completely. How do they expect you to DL a movie!?! Unless they're talking an iTunes-like store on your computer. I'm assuming the store would be on your PS3. Also the PSP screen is infinitely better for watching movies than and ipod. Also where are you finding video ipods for $150?

It makes sense that Sega would be more in Micorsoft's favor.

Microsoft helped build the Dreamcast and Sony put them out of the console business.

So when the 80GB model comes out, thats all you'll be able to buy, which means the PS3 is still gonna cost $600... Honestly, this makes no sense, what a terrible move.

They need to get PS3 to $400, not go back up to $600.

What's Sony going to do in 4-6 years when Microsoft reveals it's next system with better graphics than the ps3? Graphics are the only thing that seem to attract people and developers to the system, so when that occurs, sony's done. They're already losing record amounts of money, but I guess they aren't satisfied.yoshi-lnex

I think you;ve never heard of the Nintendo Wii.

If Microsoft launches a new graphically better system, I could see Sony just dropping its PS3 to the $129 range and hold off another year or two with the purpose of blowing away the new Xbox in graphics afterward.

I think with the PS3, they're learning that if they had waited another year, they would have been ok.

This 10 year life cycle is bullock and Sony knows it!

Does consoles last 10 years? Yes. Check out the PS1 and soon PS2. But do they REALLY last 10 years? The answer is not just a no but a HELL no! Even if PS1 lasted 10 years and looks like PS2 will too, just how much support they recieved during those last 5 years?

Well last year was year 6 and was awesome for PS2 owners. This is year 7 and we got GOW2, Tomb Raider Legends and just about every 3rd party Wii game out there.

Dude, you seriously are not a true gamer, a real gamer can spot which game has better textures than the other right away.

There's no getting around it, gears of war textures make killzone 2 look like ps1 trash game man.

Killzone 2 does have higher polygon models and levels though and better animations.

Actually a true gamer just cares if the game is fun or not and doesn't waste time arguing on system wars... they'd be too busy playing games. That speaks poorly to me too...

Killzone 2 actually takes pretty lousy screenshots but in motion it's awesome. I guess it's good we don't play screenshots.
