ok, Im having problemson my 64 bit Vista computer with an E7400 processor and a 5750 1 gig GPU. The problem is whenever I open a somewhat or very demanding application such as any game, every min. or so the game will freeze for 1/4 to 1/2 a second and then continue on normally, but then happens the next minute. I have tried changing settings in the CCC and disabling it altogether. Google did not help me. I have turned fraps on in game, such as a game with SF IV the frames are locked at 60. So every min. or so it suddenly freezes, it says 30 then jumps back to 60 in a second.

I think this is the right section to post, so ill post here.

Ever since I upgraded to my 5750 i had a very random drop of frames for half a second and raising up back to normal, this happens every min. or so, most extreme in a game like SF IV PC. I have not overclocked, I had not had this problem before my upgrade. This happens in all games no matter what the setting is. Does anyone else have this problem and solution?

The DDR games on the PS2 were downright amazing with a whole bunch of cool songs and difficult track lists and EXTREMELY demanding timing. The new ddr games counts your steps a whole half second off (wtf?) I mean, who wants to dance to Lady GaGa? or Cold play, what happened to the cool songs like Xepher and Doll? Plus, who wants to watch a retarted looking doll dance in the backround? The old DDR can have crazy flashing lights or anime style backround or even just not have anything even dancing in the backround

I know a lot of people mod weapons in this game, and I think I picked one up. I heard that modded weapons that are picked up change the values of the drop rates of rarity of guns. Im scared of this because i'd like to play LEGIT. Do the guns rarity change after this?

Alright then, I'll stick it to 50 just to be safe :P, just an off topic question but my card idles at about 43 C and runs at high 60's low 70's under load, If I turned the fan Up could I overclock a bit?

GTR12

Yes, and I haven't had even had my 8800GTS 512 go bad yet, and the fan is pretty much at 100% while gaming. 70 under load isn't bad, infact thats actually fairly cool, go ahead OC it.

Wait...screw that, its at 43c at idle, i just tried the furmark test, its been on for about 15 min. its at 88C! Is this a bit to hot? this is at stock settings, im not going to OC it but should I get another fan? a 45 degree difference from just if its under load or not is pretty big to me

[QUOTE="jtcraft"]Not really. It might shorten the lifespan but by the time that happens you will most likely have a new video card. I haven't had a fan on video card go out on me and I always adust the speeds depending on the task I'm doing.jtcraft

I'll probably keep my vid card 3+ years, will it last that long at 60%? its a xfx 5750

It shouldn't be a problem. Especially, if you are setting it to run at 60% all the time. Most of what I've heard is you might shorten the lifespan/run into problems if you are changing the speeds often. But that has never happened with any of the video cards that I've had and they all still work just fine.

Would using the manual fan control and setting it to 60% cause the fan to live a shorter time before burning out? Since on Auto its always on 39-42%

I use The catalyst to check my temp when im not doing anything, but when I play a game, minimize, and quickly check, it drops 30 C from load in a matter of seconds, is there any way to check how hot my card is while a game is running? its idle at 46C
