Hi. I don’t watch much television im my room (where my ps4 is currently hooked up)
I want to upgrade my rig to be something high tech as i prepare for the next grneration consoles (my current setup is a ps4 slim going into a 1080p tv)
So the question arises, should i get a 4k tv or a gaming monitor?
I do not have any qualms with not being able to watch tv from my setup (i figure i could always keep the 1080p tv set upnin here for that.
Or would a new tv be the better option?
Current monitors i’m considering have either a 32in 4k screen with these features:
“
In-Plane Switching (IPS) Technology
USB Type-C | DisplayPort | HDMI
3840 x 2160 Resolution
350 cd/m² Brightness
178°/178° Viewing Angles
5 ms Response Time
Supports HDR10
AMD FreeSync Technology”
Or
A glorious 38in curved screen with the following features:
“38" IPS (In-Plane Switching) Panel
HDMI & DisplayPort Inputs
3840 x 1600 Resolution
Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio
300 cd/m² Brightness
178°/178° Viewing Angles
5 ms Response Time (GtG)
1.07 Billion Color Support
99% sRGB Color Coverage
1 ms Motion Blur Redu”
Normally the 4k resolution would seem ideal but i notice when surfing the web that a 4k feature doesn’t neceserilly make it more expensive, which makes me wonder if its critical compared to other options.
Should i stick to 4k? Do any other features (other than size) stand out to you?
Whats a man to do?
Thanks!
