free Fifa 14 will be a very very attractive bundle, especially for europe. i hope its available in north america too.

will MS realize that if they unbundle the kinect and consequently drop the price, then it will be far more attractive than giving away free games?

i hope they don't implement region specific strategies...any bundles should be available everywhere! not just where you want to capture market share.

@SolidIngram @outlawoftorn Microsoft is not bringing TV to the console. all they are providing is an HDMI pass through, which means you just wont have to switch between HDMI inputs using your TV remote.

Sony's app is more akin to bringing TV to the console, or phone or tablet or PC. if you dont have existing cable, you can subscribe to the app and watch some channels on any of your devices.

Again, its not about either being good or bad, there is just a huge difference between the two approaches.

till then you are just making assumptions and trying to connect this totally unrelated news to the playstation 4.

@XBone4DaWin i would agree with you if actually sony advertised this as a feature specific to the playstation.

as of right now, all we know is that this is just another app being made by sony which can be downloaded and used on any device.

@blue_shift_91 what makes you say the gaming division of sony is becoming a new entrant in tv services? In no way does this article say that sony's gaming division is developing this app. that is like saying it also developed music unlimited and crackle.

since this app will be available on any sony device, it is more than likely that sony's entertainment divison is negotiating this deal.

if it is, then that means the moment sony allowed you to download netflix on the playstation it had become TV centric.

this is just another app available to you for download, which you can use on things other than the console by the way.

and anyway, it is an app that sony is making, similar to what skype is, just an app available on every device connected to the internet.

it does not mean that sony's playstation division is focusing on this.
