@MaskRisen I agree. they have the more expensive system and then are advocating that consumers should ignore the specifications. if you are charging more, you need to justify it by showing the raw capability of your hardware. if your console was cheaper or equal on price, then the 'experience' argument comes more into play.
@Willie_Dynamite yes GDDR5 latency might be a factor but the fact that the GPU and CPU are on the same die means that it is less of an issue. hence the bandwidth advantage is more pronounced.
@purplestone6988 @outlawoftorn yes you are in the right direction. but if its a feature they are so heavily mentioning everywhere then why not actually explain and showcase what it is? they didn't at E3 and not at their reveal event. i am sure if you ask an exec about it he would not have a clue. they need some serious work on their communications!
why does every answer an xbox exec gives end with '..the power of the cloud.' ? :p
i hope they stop saying that phrase and just explain to us and show us what this great secret power does. otherwise people will keep making fun of it :p
well the fact is that specifications do matter. if i buy a laptop i definitely want to see the specs to make sure its a good investment. if i buy a console, yes games matter but longevity matters too since you want to make sure your investing in the best hardware with the potential for the best graphics output.
I don't want my games scaled down in resolution just because I have the inferior console.
@mike468 @RepoxMan1225 @outlawoftorn ok I probably missed this sale then :p but yeah it would be cool to have more frequent sales and permanent price drops for XBL Gold members!
I would definitely buy from them if I see that their price is less than online retail. the fact that mostly its not has discouraged me into checking out their prices frequently.
@mike468 @outlawoftorn i have been on xbox live for 5 years and have never encountered a useful sale which would actually make me buy a game...usually prices on amazon etc are lower than even MS's 'sale' prices..
like politicians who only do nice things when the elections are close....Microsoft only starts to do nice things when they have a new console up for sale...
