@greenpolyp yup 3 out of 8gb of ram is dedicated to non-game operations. the ps4 has 1 out of 8gb dedicated to non-game operations and a separate custom chip to handle downloads so that max resources remain with the game.
@xeis-net @Soulreavercross haha yeah...wouldn't be surprised if a $499 bundle which includes a headset instead of a kinect and removes the mandatory kinect requirement does better!
@instigator81 @outlawoftorn right...i just used kinect as an example. i said 'lack of flexibility' on part of the companies is a problem. make things flexible for consumers i.e. let them choose what to buy...and they will buy more freely.
also companies need to clearly demonstrate their vision to consumers. if they don't, it results in what has been happening the past 2 weeks. so you are right but I would say the companies can still do a lot of things right which can make the consumer more friendly to their prices.
@instigator81 i think its more about a lack of flexibility. when you are force feeding a kinect device to consumers it turns them off since they dont want to pay for something they do not want. and consumers are ready to pay for something good, like they pay for xbox live and PS+. but they also expect appropriate return.
