@jrcast84 @Kristhomas123 because they have introduced another proprietary headset and want people to buy that...just like they want you to buy play and charge kits...good thing this time wifi is built in otherwise they would sell a $100 wireless adapter like they did...

@ALCHEMISTx24x7 the kinect would be good as a chat device as long as your not playing games...in-game it will pick up the game sounds and when that happens voice chat is very difficult..

does anyone know if a X360 compatible headset will work with the XONE?

its not even as if the headset will cost them a lot....it looks very simple just like the last one....why must they keep doing this....

@IndremaLover yeah exactly..i have played with friends who used the kinect as a chat device and you can always hear their scrambled game sounds through your headset which is really annoying...

what i dont understand is the need for a proprietary headset....if the port was such that we could plug in any headset then this would not be a problem...if your making it proprietary then at least include the headset or an adapter!
