Normally I could play Fortnite at a steady 60 FPS, but this morning it started updating, so as I waited for that, I updated my AMD graphic divers. I started the game and noticed it wouldn't go over 30 FPS..

Here's my specs:

3.5GHz i5-6600K

RX 480 4GB

16GB (2x8) DDR4 RAM

I tried turning off V-Sync and capping the frame rate at 60, which worked, but the frame rate was unstable and fluctuated between 30, 40 and 60 FPS, but before this morning I could run the game on 60 no problem with V-Sync enabled.

@nintendoboy16: From a business perspective, it wasn't a mistake. Developers don't have to worry about making it work, and more people will buy their games, but it sucks. I miss the days when we played First Person Shooters on two to four player split screen, there's so many games that would be better with that feature, Killing Floor 2, Overwatch, Warhammer, Rainbow Six, Toxikk, DOOM, but we miss out on that cause developers don't wanna put forth the effort with nothing to gain.. Funny thing is, I feel like there's enough demand for split screen games, especially shooters for it to be a strong marketing point.

Joe is so cringeworthy. “This game was capable of a 9/10 or a 10/10.” What does that even mean? Then he lists multiple things the game was missing, like progression, variety, compelling gameplay etc. So what was that comment based on, the graphics? He has nothing of value to say and just repeats all of the negative feedback that everyone else is already saying online.

Edit: Also, Joe played the PC version. So shouldn’t the Herms be the ones running?

While I agree that Joe can be cringe worthy at times, it really isn't a hard concept to understand.. The game was built around a great idea, but was executed very poorly.

But isn't it possible for almost every game to score a 9/10 or 10/10 if it had executed things differently? What I was trying to say is Joe's statement carries no weight. He's not saying anything profound there. That sentence can apply to almost every game.

That's true to a certain extent, however, all games aren't built around good ideas, so that statement does carry a degree of weight.

I agree the HUD in MMO games are incredibly annoying, and overwhelming for new players, especially in Black Desert Online, but I liked the game enough to try to tolerate it, but the constant pop ins as you traveled along the road made it impossible for me.
