@dj_pulserfan The problem isn't so much whether they're right or wrong, it's that the people in question were being complete dicks about it. I personally agree that the point of a game isn't to tell a story (not that they shouldn't though), but I think , or something to that effect, would suffice for comment. Though, to be fair, her idea wouldn't stunt gameplay development, just add some options.

Wow. Why is it so many people do this? Just because he was writing about certain specific problems with the 3DS doesn't mean the point of the article is . If that's what you got out of it, you need to learn to read better. To say the dual-screen approach is outdated and unnecessary isn't biased. Nor does it mean that the 3DS is terrible. Gamespot readers can really baffle me sometimes...

@ollie_sr What so special about 60? Anything above 30 is easily smooth enough, hell, run at about 24 FPS.

@WCK619 It doesn't need to be impressive to be worthwhile. works just fine.

My word... I've forgotten how terrible the default 65 degree FOV is (more games should allow you to change that). Anyway, glad to see an open city mod straight away, never liked how they changed that in Oblivion.

Seems like a better format would just be an article that links to the videos, rather than a clip show. I mean, unless they could do something unique with it (which so far is not the case).

Scare? I think "cause concern" would be a little more appropriate.

I'd prefer there were no ratings at all. What good do they do? You learn nothing by looking at a number. a review is what actually serves a purpose, you actually learn something about the game. The only way one could use a rating scale is if they decided to automatically reject anything that didn't achieve a high enough score, which is ridiculous for so many reasons... BUT, if a score system must be used, the 5 star is the way to go (no partial stars). With something so simple, it makes for a vague recommendation (as it should be), rather than some ineffective game quality index.

@LeCage The problem there, is that you don't need a kickass rig. You don't even need a good one. I built my system just about 4 years ago now (for roughly the original price of a PS3), and if not for the fact I have yet to adopt Windows 7, could play BF3 without problems. I couldn't max it, but that's not the point. Going and playing a game on my PC is just as easy as on my PS3 or 360. Well, not my 360... None of my controllers work very well.
