With ME 2 & 3 arriving, its been a fantastic month for BC! The only games that i REALLY want to see make it now are Catherine, Dark Sector & Batman: Arkham Origins...Weird list i know :) The more the merrier though!
Forget about all the silly skins & characters for now, maps are what people want! Why not release 3 large dlc packs with the best 5 maps for each of the three previous main games or something similar.
They could have released the best Gears 1 maps as a free celebratory pack for the anniversary & included them on the main default modes to be playable for everyone to expand the standard map list.
@skemaal: Yeah that's definitely the case. I'd have thought the soundtrack to Ridge Racer 6 would be 100% their own work though..? Its been a long time since i've played one of their games (not since PS1 era), so perhaps they added in some licensed songs over the years.
Having said that, i could be way off & its been outside music all along :)
@Sophette: This is the one that really matters to me. After ME2 & ME3 make it to X1, i'll finally be able to think about trading off the 360 & maybe getting a PS3 as the secondary console for its exclusives.
@deterupit: Don't forget that this is Bioware, not some half-arsed studio that's looking to cash in on a quiet month. Personally, i choose to have a little faith until i hear those initial comments on release day. Bioware games haven't disappointed me yet. Not even the ME3 ending (which was overstated) was enough to ruin a great trilogy, the greatest trilogy in my eyes.
Come release week, whenever that may be, we'll all know how it turned out. Until then, it's pure speculation.
@cfscorpio: It's a very underappreciated feature for a console these days. Don't know exactly when the change of opinion happened. I love the option to play already paid for games on my current system & controller, and it's one more way to keep a game accessible for the near-far future.
I suppose it's not as big a fuss as it should be since 'remasters' are releasing so often & with lots of discussions around them. I buy the occasional, well made remaster, but never to simply have the opportunity to play the game again...That's what bc is supposed to be for, at least when publishers don't block it to sell us a new & prettier version. Shouldn't that option lie with us? Shouldn't the 'remaster' be able to sell itself without eliminating all other options for people that no longer own their older consoles? Steam is excellent for this, and at least MS are making the effort to acknowledge this for their own platform.
