Very glad to see Bayonetta make the X1 list. I've just completed it again on my 360, but it's good to know that the next time i want to play it i can do so without booting up the 360.
@freeformrulz: It's a rush job, plain and simple. I'm sure it'll look great & run games very nicely at 1080p, but 4K requires a considerable amount more. I think Scorpio will come out on top in the long run, assuming both actually get a foothold in the market.
@galeta: I remember a friend of mine saying that about the difference between a DVD & a Blu Ray. I suppose it just takes the right image to make you appreciate the difference. That being said, i have little desire to update my console & TV to support 4K for the foreseeable future. While it's most certainly better, it's completely unnecessary right now since 1080p is far from being old or obsolete.
@Triton: Boggles my mind to see just how common it is for people to act so foolishly & then assume it's someone else's fault :) I know, i know, i'll stop now :P
@Gencic: Here's someone sensible :) People shouldn't have been so quick to pre-order & all the other bollocks. It takes only a few hours after a games release to do a little research & make an informed decision. If people don't want to take this road & risk their money, i don't see why an effort should be made to extend the agreed refund policy.
I'm hoping it'll turn up on X1 down the road since my PC recently broke & i'm just not spending the money for a new one. If it does, then £15 sounds about right. If not, well nvm.
@Halloll: Yeah but what a cracking game it is! I know all about the opinions of Jim Sterling & his famous phrase (i enjoy listening to him), but we must all make up our minds, and i had an amazing 120 hours of play on this game!
I was thinking about buying the game again since i recently jumped back to a console. For £30 (most likely) it's a decent deal, but i might just go for the original version after this is released since it'll plummet in price. £17 new is the cheapest i've seen it, i reckon £10-£12 looks a lot more appealing :) And yes i'm being cheap, but there's no way i'm buying back a game i've previously bought at anywhere near the cost i first paid for it.
What a shame. Why not at least do what Rocket League did & have an option to disable cross-platform play. Not that many people would disable it though since the advantage is entirely overplayed, particularly with 3rd person games. What's the worst thing that could happen? If it's going badly, just patch the game to turn off the cross-platform play for everyone.
@smokerob79: After all my years of playing games on PC, i've never understood the argument that higher DPI rates make better players...It's a number that's entirely (within reason) subjective to a persons comfort zone & it certainly doesn't act like a turbo button on an old controller. I'm sure there's plenty of people that see it differently, but i can tell you that i used to play a lot of competitive shooters (CS mainly) and not having one of those overly-marketed, overstated, 'gaming' mice never stopped me from being at the top of the table.
That being said, the accuracy and speed differences between an analog stick & a mouse are irrefutable. Not simply because a mouse moves faster, but because of the action of moving an analog stick as opposed to gliding a mouse. Afterall, a laptop touchpad can be just as quick as a mouse, yet accuracy goes out of the window when playing games at anything above a relaxed state since it's in a fixed position.
