Glad to hear that Murdered: Soul Suspect will be free next month. I played it through on PS3 back when it released, and i'll enjoy playing it again on Xbox One.

A remaster of this game for Xbox One & PS4 would be amazing! The original game is still great, but i'd love to see the end result of an updated version, complete with better physics, graphics & general gameplay. The auto aim would no longer be necessary either. None of it is going to happen though, i know that :/ Oh well, i'll just replay it on my PC when i get some time away from work.

@skemaal: Yeah i was one of the few that bought it on release back in 2012, complete with ZombiU (the special pack with ZombiU & the pro controller included). I had a fantastic time with the console & played ZombiU to absolute death lol. Talking to one of the top 20 players according to the leaderboards in '14 :P I kept the console for a couple of years, playing the odd games that showed up, but nothing else really gripped me to the console, especially to the tablet idea. ZombiU & Batman AC: AE were the only two games from 3rd parties that stood out to me as using the potential of the gamepad in any sort of way. Even Nintendo didn't use it all that well in their games, though Wind Waker made a damn good go of it.

The point wasn't to knock the tablet controller in my own experience, but to say that it's obviously not something with widespread appeal, and was never going to be. It's no good trying to go after a niche market with these niche ideas & expect any meaningful market share or profit margins. It should be painfully clear by now that the majority market potential for the new Nintendo console were looking for something more traditional, more powerful, and more reasonably priced. Instead we've been introduced to this 3ds/shield/Wii U monstrosity that has no proper place in any branch of gaming. Back to my personal opinion. This might be the first Nintendo console i don't buy, sad to say :( I was burned by the lack of drive with the Wii U, now i'm older & smarter in how i spend my money.

I wish they'd just stop fooling themselves & drop the gimmicky ideas like this. They could have thrown all that hardware into a traditional console with a pro controller & charged £150-£200 for it.

Price is the only thing Nintendo can compete on now. The Wii U has proved that even Nintendo games aren't always enough to get people to buy into their gimmick-riddled consoles, so why not strip back the 'innovation' & make the barrier to entry easy to understand & cheap to buy in to. People often throw out the Gamecube argument in a bid to explain why this can't be done, but i say that the Gamecube was a fine console (as was the Xbox) that unfortunately got completely overshadowed by the PS2's success, and doesn't necessarily prove that a traditional Ninty console is doomed to obscurity...Certainly not an assumption that can be make over a decade later.

Only two things are a certainty. The traditional console user is sick of the Nintendo gimmicks, and the casual market (what Nintendo are still banking on) are fickle customers that mostly play free games on their smartphones, and that turn their heads only for real innovation or the bandwagon. The Switch is nothing more than a hybrid console...Do they really expect that the average person is going to put their phone away to carry this thing around with them?...

@Xristophoros: Sometimes you just have to cut the cord & move on. That being said, i never said anything about digital collections :) I invested quite a lot in PSN during my time on PS3, but hardly anything on PS4. As for my friend, well he generally hates buying digital, & as such traded his physical games in with the console.

I'd question why a 'sane person' would 'rebuild' on a new console in the first place. The idea isn't to replace what you had, but to buy the new stuff that you didn't have before. Perhaps a few precious games to the individual would be exceptions to that rule, but you'd purchase those again in the future when they're going cheap, not immediately at full price.

Another assumption about Gears 4 there too. In my opinion, it absolutely isn't a reason by itself to switch console, as any one game isn't. It's a very good game though, i'm enjoying it a lot! I personally switched over because a saw a gradual build up of great games that swayed me, whereas on PS4 i felt like i was bored with the console exclusives & didn't have much interest in what was announced for future release. Turns out my instincts were right (for me personally), except for the sleeper cracker of a game that is Until Dawn.

@LeoKRock: Flat out stupid that Sony didn't give the ok for this, and it's surprising that people didn't push them for a truthful reason other than plain spite.

@cejay0813: A friend of mine recently sold his PS4 & jumped ship to X1. Perhaps this is also a common occurrence at the moment. I did the same thing about a year ago too. Software sales is the only real number that matters though i suppose. It'd be interesting to see what lead the PS4 has over the X1 in terms of software sales compared to this time last year. Right now the X1 is the rising underdog, similar to the PS3 at the end of '09. It'll never quite catch up, but it'll be a lot of fun to see what they come up with in the future to narrow the gap!

@7tizz: Socom: Confrontation. Me and a friend of mine REALLY gave that game a go lol...What a pile of dog sh**! Slant 6 are to blame for that mess, as well as the very questionable RE:ORC...Another game i really wanted to like.
