@legendaryh1tman: Yea to be worth upgrading my Day 1 PS4 it would need to be in the 10 TFLOPS / 16GB RAM range and be a "true" next gen console leaving previous gen behind so we get the typical big improvements graphics, gameplay, etc. Otherwise I'll stick to mainly gaming on my home built PC.
Based on previous 7 year trends, and to hit something in the 10-12 TFLOPS / 16-24 GB RAM range making a worthy upgrade from current gen (which began at 1.4 TFLOPS for Xbox and 1.8 TFLOPS for PS4), I'd say winter 2020 is the right time for PS5 generation.
@soul_starter: They do for people like myself that haven't had PS2 in a long time. Would be great to see it re-released at a reasonable price for PS4 in HD, with nicer textures, redone audio, improved features, etc. but still the same core game.
@joannadark360: Because no one cares about Xbox/Win10 store? If you're a fan of JRPG's PlayStation 1-4 has been by far the best platform there is since SNES.
@pmcollectorboy: Meh? FF-XII is incredible. It's fine to have a favorite (mine is FF-X) but I can still love the others too. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 are all awesome.
@naotasback: Totally disagree. FF-X has the best story out of all of them for me. I absolutely love the 1000 year timespan, Sin, the concept of death and rebirth, wiping the world clean, etc. FF-X is a masterpiece and my favorite FF of them all next to 6 and 7.
"I frequently felt like an intergalactic errand boy, mindlessly scanning everything in sight"
While Dragon Age Inquisition is a much better game than this it was basically the same game and engine - it's exactly how I felt in that game too. There is way too much HUD and mindless scanning in these games.
