Why does every game even need multiplayer? Tomb Raider had it and nobody played it. It's a waste of time and resources in order to hope that people won't trade in or sell the game after they've completed the campaign.
And so it begins. The first company to start charging for used multiplayer then later it'll be for single player too. Activision and other publishers will follow.
