Think of it this way so the audacity becomes crystal clear. Imagine if you went to the store and bought a DVD/bluray movie then went home and couldn't play it because you needed to get permission from someone on the internet. Also, let's say you want to let someone borrow that movie but can only let 10 people watch it in your own house. If you want to buy somebody's movie you have to pay a fee on top of the price of the movie too. Also, there's an HD camera watching you in your living room every day that links up to a company that has poor customer service and can be hacked or spied on especially by the US government.
I'm not a console gamer since I prefer to use M&K for shooters. Also, I prefer to play games at the highest settings and with specific controllers, i.e., Logitech wheel for racers, Saitek flight stick for sims, xbox gamepad for arcade. Lastly, I don't have that much time in my life to play games regularly anymore.
