That used to be true but I'm betting that game developers will use more efficient and advanced methods of AA such as TXAA, FXAA, etc. which were the biggest reasons why most games were bottle necked. It also depends on what resolution you're gaming at as well. Game development is also expensive so most AAA games will be multiplatform thus the requirements will be the lowest denominator, i.e. consoles. Even right now, my pc is higher than the next gen consoles unless they make a game specifically for the pc such as Star Citizen or they add a lot of enhancements such as high res textuires, physics, dx11, etc.
Pc gaming is definitely an expensive hobby but well worth the price. Good thing I started off high and haven't had to upgrade in 2 years and still won't have to for several years. Now that the new consoles are coming out more game developers are pushing hardware again. Also, people forget that recommended specs doesn't mean REQUIRED. The good thing about pc gaming is that you can tweak the system settings to run on lower hardware. The minimum specs are probably what the game would look like running on the consoles.
It's kind of funny that most Japanese games uses caucasian actors or models for their characters. I can't think of any Asian characters in any of their games.
What exactly is the job of an intern vs an employee? To have a good internship requires that you have a position that is similar to an employee otherwise that internship and experience is completely useless. People apply to internships knowing full well that they are getting experience that they wouldn't get from sitting in a classroom all day. Some internships even provide college credits. Some companies abuse interns while most provide valuable experience and incite that are necessary. Requiring payments for interns will result in no company offering that knowledge.
Unpaid internship is mainly for learning. Rather than paying money to go to college you learn on the job and you get your foot in the door of that particular company. This is helpful for certain careers such as business, broadcast, journalism, Hollywood, etc. and is probably a better education than going to college. You learn through experience and you get vital experience which is a requirement on your resume for most of these type of jobs. Forcing companies to pay will discourage them from accepting interns and is bad for everyone.
