[QUOTE="pundog"][QUOTE="subrosian"]Too Human has been in development for a decade, to compare it to Heavenly Sword is an insult of the highest order. It is not even an Xbox 360 game in my eyes - it is a PS1 / GCN / 360 game - literally it is the first *manticore* software title to be platform-exclusive.I wouldn't be too worried about Too Human (no pun intended), considering how long its been in development and its potential (like I said before, it was roughly compared to Diablo before, and that game sold okay) MS will probably market the s*** out of it. Between Bioshock, Too Human and Mass Effect I think I'm going to have trouble fitting a life into my schedule for the end of 2007.
Too Human is going to be an amazing, and ultimately underappreciated game. No one really ever appreciates the skill / genius of Silicon Knights, and that's alright - there were those of us there playing Eternal Darkness at launch, basking in an incredibly creative storyline and rich gameplay experience - and those who didn't recognize what an excellent game it was until years later.
It's almost a pity that Too Human is a 360 game, because fanboys are going to target it, try and compare it to Heavenly Sword or other "hack-n-slash" titles, when Too Human isn't that kind of game. Yes the gameplay is not as complex as a full-blown RPG, but it's something like a few steps up from Phantasy Star Online in interface, and perhaps one step down from FF VII in storyline.
Like I said, it's sad that this is 360-exclusive, because it really will be "the best game too few people play "If you miss out on Too Human, or skip it for a flash-in-the-pan like Heavenly Sword (no offense, but c'mon, a decade of revision to a story versus a year or two?) you're denying yourself an excellent experience.
Too Human is about more than the gameplay - it really is about an awesome underlying storyline, but the online multiplayer co-op and the interaction between the ****s (no monthly fees, woo!) will generate the kind of fun that PSO offered. A game as addictive as an MMORPG, with the storyline depth of the best RPGs on the market? I'm not planning on sleeping the rest of the year once Too Human comes out, I'll leave it at that.

I am skipping Mass Effect until next year... online mulitplayer, in a Silicon Knights game, with an amazing storyline? For me it's like a Final Fantasy VII remake was fused with Phantasy Star Online. The fact that Too Human will be a triology, and your ever-more-godlike character carries over from game-to-game (with new items and a higher level cap in each one) is mind-blowing. The seventh generation is begun and ended simultaneously for me the day the Too Human begins the triology, there is simply no other title I will need to feel happy. Bioshock will be awesome, assuming I get a 360 before Halo 3 & Too Human release, I won't miss that title, but yes...
Too Human contains massive amounts of talent, wonder, joy, happyness, and gameplay inside its shiny disc. I'd agree with you if I wasn't such a Bioware whore. Once I'm done beating ME for the 20th time or so I'll probably pick up Too Human.
