Well, I certainly hope it does.

BloodBorne IS a JRPG. Even if you think only games with manga/anime influences are JRPGs then it still would be considered a JRPG. Dark Souls and BloodBorne are inspired from Berserk, a manga, Miyazaki himself says so. Gamers nowadays are extremely ignorant about manga and anime which is why they think its just moe stuff. Its not.
After Mass Effect 2 and 3, it's hard to get excited for 4. First Mass Effect was pretty good. After that - meh.
This.
@nyadc: The rest of the world doesn't buy xbone. Even the most generous possible digital sales puts the game below 2 million sales. You are delusional as ****.
There's likely about 15-16 million Xbox One's in the wild currently, close to 8 million of those are in the United States, I guess the rest of the world didn't buy the remaining 7 to 8 million consoles...
Stop posting, you're beginning to look dumber than you already appear.
I am pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that Sony controls 70% of the european console market and in Japan we all know the xbone is basically nonexistent.
Thanks to the xbox console gaming has become basically a dumbed down version of pc gaming so yeah it would have been better if the xbox never existed.
Actually they did a pretty aggresive marketing campaign when the Xbone first launched here but despite of that the console was pretty much dead on arrival, in fact its almost certain that even the Vita will outsell the Xbone in its lifetime sales here where I live. Right now they are basically not doing anything to reverse the situation.
The reason why the graphics are crappy is probably because its a Vita game that they decided to port to PS4.
@DressYouUp: I only mentioned retail games for PS4. If I added smaller games like WILD and No Man's Sky it would look even worse for Xbox. Even Square Enix has realized Xbox owners only buy certain games and PS4 gets a free exclusive in Nier. Sony is paying for and owns the Detroit game. You think Xbox will ever fund an idea like that? Hell no.
In case you didn't notice I only listed games that fall outside of the focused test AAA pile. I did not list Uncharted 4 or Gran Turismo Sport because those are more mainstream games that do appeal to the general consumer crowd.
Sorry, but Xbox is generic compared to PlayStation whether you like it or not.
Acting like SE WENT to Sony and said "PLEASE CAN WE MAKE LESS MONEY AND MAKE NIER 2 A PS4 EXCLUSIVE?!" when you know very well it was Sony approached them with what little money they have left looking for an exclusive and they only thing SE would give them is the scraps; Nier 2.
There's nothing more generic than a JRPG.
There are a lot of things that are more generic that a JRPG. Shooters and fantasy themed WRPGs being the best examples.
And yet, more often than not, the quality of "shooters" (too broad a definition) and WRPGs is head and shoulders above JRPGs.
Not for me atleast. WRPGs, or at very least the mainstream ones are dumbed down to such a degree I am not sure if they can even qualify as WRPGs in the first place.
