Is that a guess? Right now the PS3 is being outs sold by both the 360 and Wii. So unless both systems all of a sudden stop selling there is no way the PS3 will be leading anything.

The IGN prediction article which you used to call doom and gloom down upon the PS3 because MGS4 (the game you though without actually having any interest in playing claim to be multi platform) was predicted to be postponed to a '08 release is the very same article which predicts that PS3 by year's end will have surpassed xBox 360 in sales because it unlike the 360 got a strong user bases all over the world and not just in North America. Funny how you only read half of the article and used predictions as facts.[/QUOHmm point out 1 post where I said I didn't want to play MGS4.
The 360 doesn't have a strong user base yet out sold the PS3 even a year later.

Japan is an after thought when it comes to consoles. Japan only cares about it's own companies. So the 360 doing bad in Japan is a no brainer.
to be fair, sony DID have supply issues in December. not until late December (after the holidays) did they start pumping out PS3's, but by then, Christmas was already over and it was too late. same goes for the Wii (supply being an issue that is). and also, thats N/A only. i don't think it's quite fair to only go by the 360's strongest market (N/A).
