Sony is an industry joke.rocktimusprime
oh really? thats why they're a big name in movies, gaming, electronics, optical media and computers? people just love to hate sony so people assume sony is a joke with all the negative press they get. i'm not a fan of all of sony's products and i'm not a fan of the ps3 because of the sony name, i'm a fan of it because of the games it has (or will have).

SD

HD

Now, is it necessary to get an HD-TV to get the best out of the PS3? You decide!

p.s.-PS3 Rocks.

Well the HD image is more crisp, but that's not what HD is, those images are smaller than SD size video, thus it's really no longer HD, except higher quality SD. And the difference between the images can just be the interlacing and lower quality compsite compared to the quality of an HD cable.

These images don't really show HD unless you post them in HD, lol.

thats not the point of the pictures... the point is to show the difference between SD and HD, and clearly we can see the difference. to be fair to SD, i'm willing to bet that both of the comparison screenshots posted here were with composite cables. component cables on an SDTV looks MUCH better than composite. i'm not saying it will look better than HD, but the difference won't be as dramatic as the screenshots here.
