Oh, also, you disappoint me OP. The Phenom II 965 Black Edition is the most overclockable processor AMD has on the market right now, in the same league as the new i7s. You can easily get it to 3.8 ghz stable, and 4.0 with a small voltage increase. When you're talking about something like a 0.6 ghz on a processor that has a 3.4 ghz stock clock, you're getting a clock increase of something like 17%, which is significant. Something like overclocking a graphics card will only give you slight increases in FPS, but by overclocking the CPU you'll have a faster more responsive system as well as significantly higher FPS in games like Crysis where the engine heavily relies on CPU. The 965 is a very powerful chip and it's truely being wasted if it's not overclocked in the computer.

An aftermarket heatsink is never necessary. It just cools the CPU better than a stock heatsink, prolonging the life of the hardware. You could overclock your CPU without an aftermarket heatsink, although the temperatures would likely cause a lot of BSODs and drastically shorten the life of your CPU. I always recommend using an aftermarket heatsink with some Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste because the lower temperatures will make your clocks more efficient, extend the life of your hardware, and cause your computer to be more responsive with less blue screens of death due to high temperatures. The thermal paste is just as important as the heat sink and Arctic Silver 5 is the most bang for your buck out there. I've seen drops as high as 10-15 degrees C after simply switching thermal paste because the stock paste that comes with a stock heatsink is so inefficient.

In short, it would do you well to buy a decent aftermarket heatsink and Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. If you don't want to spend a lot, even getting the thermal paste alone helps as it's around 5 dollars a tube which will last you 5 or 6 changes.

I personally prefer MW2. BFBC2 is FRUSTRATINGLY real. Bullets take time to travel and are affected by gravity, making sniping very hard, and the destructable buildings are always annoying when you get TK'd in one. MW2 has instant bullets so it requires no skill or practice to know where to shoot. As for gameplay mechanics, BC2 uses a class system with 4 seperate classes that individually unlock things and are customized before you spawn, while MW2 uses a system where you customize classes based on unlocked weapons and a perk system before you enter a game, including kill streaks that make the game more fun as well. BC2 has vehicles while MW2 does not, but in MW2 certain killstreaks will give you limited vehicles, such as controllable missiles or chopper gunners.

BC2 has less glitches and larger, nicer maps with nicer modes, while MW2 is an overall more enjoyable experience with a nicer UI, decent maps, and decent modes. If you're looking for cheap, get BC2, as MW2 charges for DLC while BC2 has yet to.

Sounds too childish for me, and when I game I game for a long time, longer than I'm comfortable with standing in the middle of a room and flailing my arms around like an idiot.

Also, I agree with the previous poster. Natal was a MUCH better name than Kinect.

The Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo: Reach Console comes with:

  • Xbox 360 250GB S Console with custom design [custom white 360]
  • Halo: Reach Standard Edition rated "M" for Mature
  • Two Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers with custom design [custom white controllers]
  • Xbox 360 Black Headset
  • Xbox 360 Composite A/V cable (standard definition)
  • One Month Xbox LIVE Gold Membership
  • 1 year limited warranty on console

Gamestop

Basically it's the same but you're getting a white console, 2 white controllers as opposed to the 1 that comes with standard slim, and Reach. You're saving like 20 bucks and getting a white console. I personally don't care because nobody will ever see my console, I have 3 controllers, and I'm preordering Reach.

I don't think a lot of people appreciated Prototype like it should've been. It was a great game, very smooth, very gore-oriented, gave you lots of freedom, and overall it was a lot of fun to play. But when that game came out people immediately started comparing it to inFamous. inFamous was a good game I'll give it that, but the 2 games had nothing in common other than a post-apocalyptic NYC area to play in. Other than that it was different stories, different powers, different feel, different gameplay. But of course the game got knocked simply for not living up to "inFamous' standards" which I thought was ridiculous. wwervin

Truethat. I enjoyed Prototype MUCH more than inFamous. Both were superpower sandbox games and I couldn't choose between them so I bought both, and hands down I enjoyed gameplay more in Prototype, and its plot was much better, especially with the surprise twist at the end.

Treyarch always makes inferior games to Infinity Ward, and with the change from IW to Respawn Entertainment, CoD is dead and it will be obvious with the release of CoD 8.

Lots and lots of time. Usually 2+ hours a day, getting 6+ if I have nothing better to do.
