LOL at all the next-gen fanboys on systems. You can get ALMOST the same effects on Wii. Sorry to tell this to you, but a little extra glossiness on a person's face does not make a great game.accameron

To even have the audacity to state that the Wii can almost generate the same effects as the PS3 or 360 simply shows you're trolling.

[QUOTE="ramey70"]When I first got my PS3 back in november I was playing it on a 32" SDTV. For christmas I upgraded to a 56" 1080p HDTV. I completed Resistance before I got the HDTV. Out of curiosity I put Resistance in one after I had gotten the HDTV and the difference wasn't slight, it was breathtaking. I ended up spending the next two days playing through the entire game again simply because it was almost like a totally new game in HD. Everything felt so "real". I was noticing details and nuances that I hadn't before. In addition, at this time I had also upgraded to a full surround sound system in ceiling mounted rear speakers. This also led to an amazing sense of immersion. In short, the exact same game was totally different simply by playing it in HD and with full digital surround sound.mattyomo99

thats what ppl dont realize, on a hdtv with hdmi ports ps3 games look beautifulllll

And I'm not a "graphics whore" by any means. I still regularly play the same Atari 2600 I received on my 5th birthday in 1982. Those games weren't even "beatable". You simply played for high scores. The games were just fun to play and still are. However, that moment in Resistance was the first time I fully felt "in" a game. I remember at one point I heard a sound from behind me and turned my head thinking my wife was behind me cleaning or something. It wasn't. It was one of the enemies in the game coming from behind me and the surround sound created the illusion in my mind that something was there. That's immersion to me. It was even better a few weeks later when I played FEAR on my 360.

Yeah theres nothing out worth playing, and Cows will tell you to keep waiting forever...

Just spend that money on some quality games that are out now.

Flexmaster_365

Odd. I have a PS3 and have been playing the hell out of NBA 2k7 and MLB 2k7 for the past couple of weeks.

You can play those on the 360, why would he buy a PS3 for those games...

So a game must be exclusive for it to be considered "good"?

Yeah when your system costs $200 more, theres gotta be exclusives that would make me want to buy a PS3. Why would anyone choose one when I can get a lot of exclusive AAA titles on the 360 for hundreds less?

They may just prefer the system or the controller layout. I have a friend who is buying a PS3 for NCAA Football even though it's also on the 360. In his opinion, he's played the game for so many years and gotten used to the button layout that he doesn't want to deal with changing. To him that's worth $200. Probably wouldn't be to you or I, but it was to him. I bought both systems so I really couldn't say why people prefer each.

[QUOTE="Mordred19"]Sony is bigger than MS. Sony has more facilities, more staff, more products, more revenue, more physical capital than MS. Think abuout how much physical product Sony produces: three different Playstations at full scale, digital cameras, telephones, televisions, stereo systems, laptops. They are members of a high-def movie format alliance, the blu-ray association. They are business partners with IBM and Toshiba in regards to their Cell Processor, which is used in medical technology. Sony is firmly rooted in worldwide economics. It cannot be bought by a smaller business, which makes operating systems, and produces fewer physical products: two different Xboxs, some first party computer peripherals and accesories. nowhatisthat

and yet MS still makes more money than sony.

Link that proves microsoft makes more money?

You need a link for that? Microsoft made $12.5 Billion in 2006. Sony made about $1 Billion.

Yet it makes 100x more money than Sony does... does the words biggest company in the world mean anything to u....

HuusAsking

Microsoft isn't the biggest company in the world.

Which is? And what about the biggest company with business in electronics or computing?

Exxon Mobil is the largest and it's not even close. Exxon Mobil's market value is $425 Billion. Microsoft's market value is $274 Billion. Not even close. As far as biggest electronics that would be General Electric with $368 Billion.
