no doubt getsetgo, i too have never had a problem with playback on my dvd,blueray or games, i guess we were the lucky ones. i have a valid question for you since you are in the know about England. is this a problem that might be stemming from the emulator they are using in that version of the PS3? i never heard that problem over here. i heard some people had trouble getting online but most of those were user error( not power cycling the modem ). and i heard some demo models shut off after a while at some stores. but commercial versions i havent heard much at all in the states.

getsetgo, i dont know who told you the PS3 was problem free, anything manufactured in mass quantity is subject to problems, but they did keep it to a minimum. not many stories about issues. there was never any myth that the ps3 was problem free. whoever told you that was definitley a fan boy. i can say myself as an owner i havent had any problems with mine except for the bluetooth thing which is fixed now. so i am happy with the product.

the PS3 is pretty much problem free, they must have made a mistake with that update. but since it is old and obsolete i dont think it is relevant, the ps3 didnt have that problem out of the box. we are now on firmware update 1.8. this is one of the coolest things i have ever dealt with on a console. my PS3 can do so much more now then when i first got it. the update you are talking about lasted maybe a week before they fixed it. no bodies perfect, but it is still better than a 30% hardware failure rate. thats almost half the systems made that broke. come on M$. oh and guess what i havent noticed the bluetooth thing since the last update. now my baby has no problems what so ever. go head Sony do your thing.

go ahead sworder, elaborate on bandwith limitations for us. is this anything like a bottleneck? inquiring minds want to know. lol

getsetgo u r full of it. if you couldnt answer seriously you shouldnt have said anything. you know exactly what i am talking about. so again does anyone have an idea of why this is happening. getsetgo yeah me and like 1million people have the problem in our head thats why the sysytems are getting refurbished and sent back out.
