This will only add to the growing PC market that's it. It's not going to replace anything for those of us that are PC gamers it's a rental service most will use it to rent games they wouldn't buy and it has a long way to go to even reach this and people with Mac's,old PC's or like myself prefer Linux it should be a good services to offer games and there better be an app for Debian.There is too much they are going to have to leave out to replace upgrading that makes PC gaming what it is and those of you who think your going to be playing crysis maxed your ignorance already has you sold.

Question : do you just like having 2 cards on ur PC ?

If i were you i would go with 4870x2, why pay more money on getting 2 4870 ? if youcan get it cheaper, also you can buy another one in the future for CF

We_never_die

This is also your best option for future proofing you should at-least consider the 4870 X2.

[QUOTE="risc-vs-cisc"]I would recommend a 4870x2 2GB or 4870 1GB crossfire.dr_fiscque

To be clear: Should I get TWO 4870 cards or FOUR 3870 cards. They will, no matter how I go, each have 1GB on board.

I would get 2 4870's.

[QUOTE="ptown58"]

I have a 19" lcdtv (1440x900) and two 8800gts (g92) vid cards in sli and I'm not impressed at all with sli, should I get a bigger monitor like a 22" with higher res or ditch the 8800gts's and get a 260 (216), 280, 4870 (have not had a ATI card since my 9800pro) ?

I'm actually ok with a 19" monitor sitting a foot or so from my face (more intament) but is a 22" way more impressive at 1680x1050 than a 19" at 1440x900 ?

kaitanuvax

The visual gain from 1440x900 to 1680x1050 is nothing compared to what you get from getting one of those high end GPUs.

What? You would get nothing from those high-end GPU's and your 8800GTS performes like a 9800GTX , scroll down to see all the resolutions.

Is it installed in your case correctly and not grounding out ,have you tested it outside of the case?
