@lonewolf1044: They had to retcon it because the original Ms marvel was drained by Rogue and since every X men based propriety was owned by fox (at the time) they couldnt use it, same as why quicksilver was killed on Age of Ultron and a bunch of other retcons.

The MCU takes from the comics but its his own thing, like how She hulk seems its going to introduce the X gene proper.

Those characters were so low tier that were only good for off screen death fodder.
