@Zironn1 Nintendo has sold 30+ million units of Mario Kart Wii and counting and NSMB Wii sales is much higher than that. Nintendo is not worried because they have the under 13 demographic and nostalgic gamers in the palm of their hand. They dont directly compete with Sony and Microsoft but still rake in money for every game that is sold. They have tonnes of valuable IP to cater to the under 12 market and yes, Pokemon X and Y will sell 3DS systems starting on October this year. So don't worry about Nintendo they wont disappear in the console market.
Man, Phil Spencer is acting like the former head honcho of Sony in 2006! It's a complete role reversal between these companies. Microsoft for your sakes, 'promote' or fire these executives who clearly made a colossal mistake in deciding to appease the publishers rather than the customers. As soon as word goes out to the moms and dads by the Holidays that the PS4 is cheaper than X1 and there is Mario for the cheaper Wii U, it will be a bad day for X1. The bad news is that their own Xbox 360 will undercut their sales too.
"Mario Kart Wii sold 34.26 million copies as of March 31, 2013."
What! No wonder Nintendo is not worried with the Wii U. Seriously, my nephews and their friends were so happy when they saw this trailer today. It will sell like hotcakes next year and I believe this is the demographic that neither Sony or Microsoft doesn't have.
@ant19831983 JAGO is my main in the arcades and Super Nes and unfortunately had no money to buy the N64(college student years). I mean the fireball yell was altered in this KI3 and he looks and moves like RYU/KEN now so I don't really care about Jago now.
@keltonkelly1989 This issue is not even brand loyalty anymore. X1 is a good machine but threatens and tarnish the very Xbox brand itself because of its anti-consumer features which restricts EVERY gamer how and when he plays video games that he bought. It strips away ownership and replace it with 'renting' and applies surveillance to your profile which really telling you that Microsoft don't believe you own your games so it needs t 'authenticate' your purchases EVERY 24 hours. Sony did the right thing and followed Nintendo because it would be a tragedy to the industry by turning their backs on their customers.
@boom_f15 Because that is the only bad news, if you can call that bad news. In PS+ you get free games that is worth it. If you only game on single player then you don't have to buy PS+ like me and I CAN still access my appls like Netflix on my console unlike Xbox Live where they hostage your apps.
