@VenkmanPHD System Shock 2 even now still lives up to it's reputation. If you want a good challenge, and a good long playthrough, you ought to give this game a try. The graphics are pretty ugly now, but the gameplay, the atmosphere, and the story especially will keep you going. I recently played 3 months ago and just had a blast.
I like the GOG formula. You get an install executable and that's about it. Double click it and you're off installing and playing your game.REALLY easy to pirate though, that's a downside.
I'm still having lots of fun with Bad Company 2. They're going to have to design a sequel above and beyond BC2. The only multiplayer map I've gotten tired of and don't really enjoy playing is Arica Harbour. That's really only because of personal preference, I never really liked that map very much. Before I even think of buying this iteration I'm going to have to see lots of game play.
Bad Company 2 was great. That multiplayer was fantastic. I'm not really a multiplayer kind of gamer, but that Battlefield series is a hell of a lot of fun when you're battling others online. I don't know how they're gonna top BC2.
Saw this thing at Quakecon this year, and it was pretty damn cool. Even got to talk to one of the guys showing it off. They were using Half-Life 2 for the demo.
