This looks awesome. I do wonder however what's on the PC disk. I get that most modern gaming PC don't have a disk drive let alone a Blu-ray player but the PS5 version comes on 2 Blu-rays and the Xbox version on 3. How much of the game is on the PC's DVD? I want this to be good so badly but please don't make this like the end of physical media on PC where people got a bunch of steam installers to then download the game and a CD key

Please Larian Bring the full game to PC to be played offline NO MATTER HOW MANY DISK IT TAKES!!!

My ranking of Final Fantasy Games would be a bit different but this is a pretty good list. I do think XII is too high and VIII and IX are too low and VII remake shouldn't be on this list because it is a remake. My view on final fantasy is a bit skewed because my introduction to JRPGs and FF games, when I was 10, were VII and VIII and I was actually disappointed when they went back to an actual fantasy setting with IX lol. I genuinely thought FF was this Cool industrial future world with magic and monsters and was really excited when X looked like it was going back to the future. I have since gone back and at least tried 1, 6-16 and own all of the main numbered series in their original for (at least the best you can in the US with the PS1 versions) and I do love theses games.

15. Final Fantasy XV
14. Final Fantasy II
13. Final Fantasy XIII
12. Final Fantasy 3
11. Final Fantasy
10. Final Fantasy IIII
9. Final Fantasy XII
8. Final Fantasy V
7. Final Fantasy IX
6. Final Fantasy XVI
5. Final Fantasy VIII
4. Final Fantasy VII Remake [strike this one because it shouldn't be on this list because its a remake but its awesome]
4. Final Fantasy X
3. Final Fantasy VI (Or VII interchangeably because haters)
2. Final Fantasy VIII ( or VI Interchangeably because haters)
1. Chrono Trigger (Full Stop)

I don't want and don't believe we need a pro. Give me a redesign that makes it smaller and look less like a router. more native storage 1TB should be a industry minimum by now. Leave the NVMe alone ever since the PS2 we have been allowed to put whatever hardrives in our systems we wanted. Over all more guidance is needed maybe a PS4 certified sticker from sony would work but don't lock it down to something proprietary. We all remember the PSP and the Vita memory cards

YOUR NEW 3DS XL PICTURE IS A LIE!!! thats a white standard size new 3DS not an XL. its the one I prefer but your caption is wrong as they never sold the XL with the famicom buttons.

I'm glad your list isn't just a Nintendo timeline. I know the GBA 3DS and switch are more popular BUT as I wrote my personal list the Vita kept rising. Its AAA and AA library weren't great and its memory cards were expensive but the indi library after Sony's support dried up was amazing. The tech was also great as the first portable with an OLED screen and backward compatibility for digital PSP games. If a game comes out and its available on Vita I still buy the vita version. the switch OLED might change that but I don't have one. Also the regular switch is so large its barley a portable. I'm the crazy person who bought the Pokémon red blue edition of the New 3DS to remove the plates to put on imported official white plates for the famicom buttons on a pocketable system. Also if if the PSP was up against the OG DS I would have put it above it. Hopefully Nintendo adds GBA to the switch's online service so can I love it as much as everyone else.

My list is as fallows I'm sure you see a pattern for the systems that I owned

Game Gear (Owned)

Nomad

PSP (Owned)

DSLite

Gameboy DMG(Owned)

New 3DS Non XL white like the one pictured unless corrected (Owned)

GBA SP

Switch (Owned)

Vita (Owned)

GBC (Owned)

@phili878: I agree that this article is probably unnecessary right but they did just update their site with new information on the OS making it news.

I also don't understand how being out of stock of a product that was delayed into the pandemic and a chip shortage makes them irrelevant or not to be taken seriously. their other products have come back into stock and are still available unlike may graphics cards and the PS5/Series X. and yes its a niche and expensive product but for those still interested in pick one up its still relevant information on an upcoming product.

@treechopper88: Personally I wouldn't want to play games designed for an old portable on a separate screen and controller. Analogue is a cool company as their products allows people to play the original cartridge's with original controllers on modern displays. There are other FPGA systems and flash carts but I feel like analogue's are probably the best and simplest without going the MiSTer route. I would like to See articles on other FPGA manufactures like RetroUSB's AVS. but ya Analogue products are expensive but a MiSTer cost just as much if not more and takes more technical know how than plugging in a cartridge a controller and an HDMI cable let alone the legal gray area of roms you didn't create your self from games you own.

My order would be CE, 2, 3, ODST, reach, 4, 5. CE being the best and 5 being the worst but I think that's the order they came out in lol. really CE-3 are interchangeable but I feel like halo started to loose it magic after ODST. reach was OK not sure about the controls and I'm not into the forerunner story and reboot of the covenant war they tried to tell in 4 and I barely count 5 has a halo game. The advertising was miss leading, the story they did tell wasn't nearly as interesting as the ADs and they didn't manage to make me care about fire team Osiris despite the return of Buck (Nathan Fillion) as a spartan. I honestly don't even think cutting the chief from the game, like they did for Reach and ODST to make it not about him, would have made 5 any better.

I'm the type of person who owns unopened copies of MMC and Halo 5 despite never owning an Xbox One. I'm really looking forward to the story in Infinite but am really worried that its just going to become a platform for an over monetized multiplayer. its probably already in a book or 4 or 5 but I still never under stood why we were back to fight the elites along side the brutes. Personally I think Elites are better and more interesting than the brutes but the games fallowing 3 never really explained why were back at war with them....

For Mortal kombat fans, Mortal Kombat was F!@#ING AWFUL!!! Free guy looks like another movie producer said "lets cash in on this video game thing. Is Adam Sandler from pixels is avaliable?...No?... Then get that Ryan Ryrenolds guy he knows about this video game stuff. He stared in that 'Officer Pik-a-mon the movie' and that was a HIT!!!....guy...Guy!!! that will be the name of our lead. Look Ma I'm a Fancy Writer."

but seriously at least parts of free guy look genuinely funny cringy video-game refrences asside. If your comparing positively to the most recent MK movie then its probably a train wreck. Look to Mortal Kombat Legends series for a quality MK movies not the live action one earlier this year

Please don't :| Big fan of mortal kombat have been since its original release in 92 not a fan of this movie. How about the guys who did Mortal Kombat legacy those were good shorts. Mk Legacy II wasn't great admidilly. How about the writers of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's revenge that was a good animated movie.
