I like where I'm at now. But I'd also like to spend more time in Norway, Germany, and Russia. Of course, I can barely afford to live in one place, much less have four homes. A change of scenery once in a while is nice, though.

Another one I forgot to mention that I havent seen, but really want to is Devil's Playground. It's very well regarded. It's about Amish life and the choices they make. Look it up on IMDB.B05T0N

That's a good one. We watched it in my philosophy class. It's mostly about the Hamish tradition of Rumspringa (I'm positive I'm spelling it wrong).

I like mockumentaries like This is Spinal Tap.

That's beautiful.

Yeah, it is.

What do you call it?

Lick my love pipe.

I also really liked Satan Rir Media, and The Decline of Western Civilisation II

History Channel has some fun documentaries although I don't rely on their facts as much as I used to back in the day. They've gone Hollywood. Public Television actually has a lot of good historical docs. People assume that Public television is just garbage and don't give it a chance usually, but they put a lot of work and thought into their documentaries. History Channel spends more time trying to be fun (not that I always have a problem with that).

I don't like/watch political documentaries that just give one side of the argument, use a lot of junk science, and try to convince the viewers that the world is going to explode and all is lost. Anyone who completely changes their stance based on one documentary is seriously stupid. I know that all media is biased but I don't go out of my way to look for information from documentaries designed solely to change your opinion. Anyone who changes religion because of a Michael Moore film probably never believed it in the first place, and is just trying to stir up some bacon, as has been said already.

If I think a draft is coming, I'm gonna run down to the navy recruiter and enlist. At least that way I get to pick my service. I'd rather not be drafted, though. If I think a cause is worth dying for I'll join up freely. I'd join up to defend my home, but probably not to attack someone else's.

I haven't seen it yet and don't plan on seeing it. Ever since I first saw the trailer and the whole "I AM BEOWULF!" deal I just laughed the movie off. I myself would rather read the actual epic instead of a poorly constructed Hollywood ball of tripe.foxhound_fox

Tripe isn't that bad once you get used to it. If you put enough salt on anything it will taste like fish eventually.

Oh yeah, and I had the same reaction to, "IAMBEOWULF!" It looks like a movie designed for all the rubes that think they're gonna be on UFC and are always like, "Want me to show you this move I learned?" No, thank you.

I liked 300 for what it was. A hack-your-limbs-off comic-booky action movie. Did I expect a deep plot? No. I expected to see some arms lopped off. If I want a great story, I'll read a book. I don't watch a lot of movies, though. I definately don't watch art films. I'll admit that I can't sit still for more than about an hour before I need to get up, so movies aren't my thing. I got bored during 300 at quite a few parts even if I did like it. I like books because when I need to get up, I can put it down.

By that, I mean when you're bored do you find yourself eating just to be doing something? Do you eat to entertain yourself?

I don't mean it to sound like, "I eat and am bored at the same time" or "I have become hungry, but coincidentaly I was bored prior to this occurance."

Did the teacher assign anyone to a particular point of view? If everyone is a believer the debate won't be much fun. I guess that debate isn't ever much fun to begin with. Read a bit of Paul Tillich. He's one of the biggest theologians of recent times that I can recall. You can probably find some of his stuff on the internet, because I doubt you wanna go out and spend money on books based off of a vague reference from a video game forum. Good luck!

David Duke, anyone? Jeff Schoep?

Those guys are really reactionaries. They make Rush Limbaugh look like your friendly neighborhood pill-popper.

Rap isn't going to die. When it becomes unpopular it will go back to being the largely underground movement that it started out as. That is where it belongs. Music like that in the spotlight just perverts it and breeds too many lame me-too clones. I could actually stand rap in the early ninetees and before. I've lost the will to try and find any good rap through all of the industrial-grade sludge pumping out of the record company's love pipe.

It's like metal in the 80s. Most people liked it. Then they didn't. Pop fans went on to the next latest thing and metal fans kept on listening to metal. It existed before, during, and after its pop phase. Underground, too.

On that note, I really wish punk would just die. I mean, not just out of popularity, but of music all together. How could such an anti-attitude to musicianship ever last so long? They can't sing, they can't play, and that's the point.
