On medieval total war 2, someone has made a mod (about 5gb in size!), that does a total rework of the entire game, and puts it in a lotro universe, and i mean Total rework, maps, units, text, factions, everything.
@cdragon_88 kickstarter isn't 100% of the funding though.
Roberts has deals for private investment, though a condition for it apparently, is he needs to prove this kind of game will be popular, which is basically what he is doing with kickstarter/his pledging website.
If he secures some of the funding through the public, he will get a lot of his funding from the investors.
yep definitely, a whole turian...completely covered in clothing, with no discernible features, and then told that it's female >_>
Almost as if they couldn't be bothered with making a new model, and decided to make a reskin instead, such as the 'female' krogan.
(Seriously, what is Bioware's problem with female versions of races? are they too scared, to make a female character, that they can't stick hugs boobs on for the fanboys? It makes the whole game feel weird, when the entire galaxy is a sausage-fest)
@StJerK Sorry, i think i didn't explain myself properly.
I don't mind spin-off games, or books about the series etc, those things can expand the story and world of the game. It's when the main game doesn't properly explain it's own story properly, within it's own boundaries of that very game.
You made an excellent point actually. Remember the beginning of KH2? you play as some annoying kid for like 2 hours, then Sora is in a pod or something and you become one with him? If you didn't play the KH DS game that came out between KH1 and 2, none of that made any sense whatsoever.
Yes, the game tried to patch it up later, but it left so many questions about that beginning unanswered, if you didn't play that DS game. That';s the type of thing i despise. (WoW does this a lot as well, mainly outsourcing it's story-writing and character development, to sub-par novelists).
