Ok, well now I feel a little better about the Lebron signing. I just couldn't envision the Big 3 and nothing else winning a championship. At least we have a serviceable point guard and a 3-point shooter now. If we can score a solid center and 2 veteran bench players, then I think we will be ok. I still don't think we'll win the championship next year though,
He is the bench player. He can't start. he's a 2 or a 3. So unless they want wade to play point or they want miller to start over wade or lebron at the 2 or 3 then he is coming off the bench. There's no room for him in the starting lineupsixringz1's forum posts
i don't know this question has too many variables. The obvious answer would be joe montana but that's ONLY IF he's quarterbacking those great 49'ers teams of the 80's. What would happen if he wasplaying for the bills "TEAMS" that lost 4 super bowls? Would i want him then? who knows. Some people will just never get it. No matter how "clutch" a qb is, he has to have the "team" around him on all sides of the ball to win. I mean i can argue Marino cause he never had elite players on offense, defense or special teams but yet is still put in the same class as the Montana's and every other "great" qb that has multiple championships. So maybe he would be able to get the best out of the least. I don't know. It's just too loaded of a question
[QUOTE="sixringz1"][QUOTE="Racer_XLR"]Chris Bosh has been in the playoffs 2 times in 7 years in the eastern conference where the 7th and 8th seeds are ROUTINELY under .500 record wise. I don't care what anyone says about his "team". There has been enough talent on that team to make the 8th seed in the East more than twice in seven years. David Lee puts up big numbers too, but it doesn't mean he's an MVP calibur player. Bosh is a tot tier COMPLIMENT player. That is why there was such high demand for him. Nobody was looking to sign bosh to be the "primary guy". Thank you that was exactly the point I was trying to make.Hell look at Miami's roster last year. I could make a STRONG argument that man for man toronto had a better roster than miami but yet miami was what a 5 seed? That's because they have a legit number one. Bosh is a good player don't get me wrong, but he's a number 2.I know that. That's not the point I'm trying to make. Bosh has never played with another player of Nash's skill, Dirk has. And yet, throughout his career, Bosh still managed to put MVP type stats.

Cleveland is stuck with an overpaid roster that will be exposed as nothing but average players because lebron is gone and he made those guys look A LOT BETTER than they wereI am very curious as to how he plans to go about doing just that with a team full of nothing? Who are you going to add?
I guess you could get Steve Nash or Chris Paul for a guard, Rudy Gay/Durrant/Johnson for 2 of the three other spots, and get Dirk with some other player down low.
Here is my advice work quickly because there isn't much time left.

Wow this is gonna be ugly for a while. Everybody thought that first game between kobe and shaq after shaq left was a big deal wait til this. I'd be willing to bet just about everything i own that one of the Christmas day games will be Miami AT cleveland.
I do agree with Gilbert that this whole ordeal was just ridiculous in the first place. Just make your decision talk to the teams and make a statement. Kevin Durant signed a 5 year extension and just announced on twitter like it was no big deal. Lebron was speaking in 3rd person during the interview. he was really feelin himself through this whole process and i definitely agree with Gilbert that it was a very narsasistic and arrogant act, but it is what it is.
However, the thought that Clv will win a title before lebron is downright laughable considering no team from cleveland, let alone the cavs, ever wins anything.

Lebron hasn't won theFinals in seven straight years, he must be pathetic as well. Good players can play on bad teams, any sports fan knows some of the best players in history have played on bad teams that never won a championship. The whole argument of rings mattering more than stats is fundamentally flawed, if anything it should speak to their skill that they didn't have a championship caliber team and still managed those kinds of stats.
I would say it has to be a combination of many things. Stats matter. Context matters. How they perform under pressure matters. The system that they are playing in matters. Championships matter. Who you play with to get those championships matter. They are all pieces to the ultimate truth of how good a player is.Dan Marino is one of the best QB's of all time and he never won a championship; Jeremy Roenick is considered one of the best American hockey players and he never won a championship. I'm not saying championships don't count for anything, but not winning a championship is not an automaticl slight against a player's skills.
you can never compare football players to nba players because a quarterback doesn't play defense or special teams. He can only impact 1/3 of the game. An nba player can have an EQUAL impact on all aspects of the game.Oh this is great lebron has more haters know. What choice does he have stay in cleveland and try to beat miami, orlando, celtics, lakers. What if 5 years from know he has no rings and is age is catching up to him then he would say i should of gone to miami or chicago and be known as a failure.Or he can decide to play with bosh and wade where he know he has a better chance of winning a title.Yes this is the easier way out,but if you look at kevin garnett if he had left timberwolves sooner we could be calling him the best power forward of all time.He wants to become great and he feels this decision is best for him and his family.
He would have never been better than Duncan but your point as a whole is exactly right. I personally think he should have went to Chicago cause he could have had a more OVERALL talented roster and he would have definitely been "the guy"Vernardo will be the starting center. he's the all time leader in block shots in college basketball history. They will need a defensive presence.Heat Starting line up
Wade
Lebron
Bosh
Dexter Pittman
Mario Chalmers

Can the Heat win with Bosh, Wade, Lebron, and 9 Rafer Alstons?
Same question asked about the Celtics at first, but LeBron and Wade are BETTER than any of the Big Three at that time. the problem is they're not the defensive team of the Celtics. Unless Lebron and Bosh turn into defensive monsters, I think Lebron can but not Bosh. They drafted the best shot blocker in the history of college basketball so they will have some interior help, cause bosh is, and always will be, a defensive liability
