so they dominate the industry for over a decade, then have a sub par performance (in relation to their previous consoles, cause 20+ million units sold in just over 2 years is hardly afailure), and now they are just supposed to quit. So with that theory Nintendo should have stopped after the game cube. They aren't going anywhere get over it. The blatant fanboy in your post is not a good look. Quit with the wishful thinking. Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony aren't going ANYWHERE

Yes you are. the fact that you got it in 95 is the reason why. If you were to buy an SNES in 1998 i'm sure you'd feel that was overrated too. But in 89 when the game boy came out, the idea that you can play some of your favorite franchises ANYWHERE was mind blowing. You can make an argument that it was the most important and influential video game machine to ever be created. I'm thinking about that now, and how much i played mine. That was one hell of a systemyup. my roomate had a 360 and it was the only system we had at the time, and i told him he should pick up gears of war cause it was getting great ratings. I played that game, and i know i'm in the minority, but i thought it sucked. I never played the online mode so i'm sure that would of changed my opinion somewhat, but i played the single player for about an hour and never had the desire to play again. Same thing with GTA IV
It is me, or Coach K hasn't won in a long time?Master_Liveit's his recruiting. and i'm a big duke fan so i can say this confidently. The kind of "player" he likes to recruit is not good enough to be a title contender year in year out. Sure he might make a run now and then, but he likes to coach the players that are going to be around for 3-4 years and not be one and done. Therefore he doesn't get the athletes necessary to win. The game is too fast and athletic today. You can't win a title with players like Laettner and Hurley like you did in the past. He gets very skilled players, but other than Henderson there are NO top notch athletes on that roster, and they get exposed when playing against the more athletic teams. So unless he is willing to go after a couple potential one and done type recruits, it may be a while til he wins another title. With that being said, unless Henderson leaves early, Duke will be a top 3 team next year cause they won't lose any starters, and none of their seniors played more than 6-7 minutes a game this year, and were role players at that. So who knows.
Sega will announce the Dreamcast 2 for release 09.09.09.InsaneBasuraclassic
tecmo super bowl and double dragon
forgive me if i read that article wrong, but did it say that it has the power of "somewhere between a PS1 and PS2, something like a Dreamcast". Good luck w/ that one, thelate 90's were a blast for me too.
[QUOTE="sixringz1"][QUOTE="Master_Live"]It's funny how 7 or 8 years ago this conversation would be between: T-Mac, V. Carter and Kobe Bryant still.Master_Livevince carter has never even cracked the top 5 in MVP voting and mcgrady has only cracked the top 5 once in his career. This conversation NEVER included those 2 names. Carter is a great dunker and that's how he became popular, and McGrady had a couple really good years in Orlando, but at no point was he ever on the same level as Kobe (and i'm not even a kobe fan). Yes they were. That was the old trinity of (normal) guards/sf before Kobe separated away from the pack. oh you are talking about guards, i thought you were talking about MVP's since that's what the thread is about (not trying to be a smart ass it just sounds that way). my bad

Well they need the number one overall seed because if they do face Cleveland in the Finals, I don't see them winning 2 on the road. Doomtimethey'd only need to win one on the road if they are able to protect their home court. They've come out flat again tonight against Chicago. They were down 15 late in the 2nd quarter last time i saw. But it's a long game, i'd be shocked if they don't pull that one out. They better hope Boston can upset Clev in the playoffs otherwise i can see a similar scenerio as last year, despite winning in Clev earlier in the year. That was in teh mid of the regular season, it will be COMPLETELY diff in the finals if they meet. It will be interesting
