no way. You can't be the best ever when you aren't even the best of that generation. PS1 owned that gen. I had a N64 and didn't like it at all. There weren't enough good games for me. It just so happened that when they did have a good game (OOT, Mario), they were beyond good, they were great. N64 had some solid quality, but PS1 had the quality AND quantity that gen. But in my opinion, the NES was the best system. How many game franchises do you know that have been around for over 20 years that were on that system (marion, zelda, metroid, final fantasy, metal gear, etc.) NES hands down IMO.

I may be a little bias cause my favorite game to this day is still Mike Tyson's Punch Out

Nope they were not released at the time i got a 40GB in the UK, i still dont think you can get an 80GB in the uk at this moment.

So there are no backwards compatible PS3's in the UK. Sucks.

mufcbarlow1

I don't know if you all get the MGS4 80gb package, but if you do, i guess you could always sell the system you have now and buy that package console. It may set you back 100$ or so but it sounds like in your case that's what you want. I've learned in the past, unless you are talking about an absurd amount of money, don't settle for something when you really want something else.

i actually feel bad for him in a way (as much as i can feel bad for any person making millions a year). Four months ago Plaxico was all banged up, the fans wanted Eli gone, and through all this Shockey was the best player on their offense. Then he gets hurt, someone takes his spot who is not better then him (but they won when he was in and that's all that matters), the team goes on a historic run and wins the super bowl, all with him on the sideline. This is like Drew Bledsoe all over again to a lesser degree. Just like Bledsoe, i'm sure shockey won't even think of himself as a superbowl winner after all this.

Parcells called Mort directly and said that the Dolphins will NOT get rid of Jason Taylor

He will either play for the Dolphins next season or retire

Jaysonguy

from this site, no.

From many sites, yes.

Tlahui

Agree 100%. This site will kill it while all the other sites will praise it. That's what i've come to expect here. It will just go to further the flames of hipocracy on this site

i find it absolutely amusing how much crap the PS3 takes on these boards and then when a post like this comes up, based on most of the responses, it seems like everybody wants or either has a PS3. I just don't get it

i still haven't seen an answer. Did he get fired? Was it a contract dispute? Did his contract simply run out? Or did ESPN just feel Carter was better?

hmmmm sorry but grant hill can shoot the ball well, shaq is garbage on the suns i agree but hill is a good fit you just havent follow the suns lately, and lakers got gasol =) sniper2606

No i watch a lot of suns games (since they are always on espn and tnt. lol.). Grant Hill has had a very good season UNTIL SHAQ. His numbers and impact on the game will be far less than it was prior to shaq because hill is a slasher. When you have other shooters around to spread out the offense it makes driving lanes bigger. Now you have shaq that is taking up space and affecting those lanes for not just hill, but the rest of the team. And the Gasol idea was said simply because it wasn't like Gasol snuck up on anyone, he had been in trade rumors w/ the Bulls for the last 2 years so you know he was out there. The suns should have went after him first.

I have one stat that can show you how Shaq is killing the offense. Steve Nash who was averaging over 11 assists a game this year hasn't had more than 8 since the trade. There is just not enough room for him to operate. This team is going down. I've said it once and i'll say it again, Steve Kerr pulled a fast one on them. I think popovich must still be cutting him a check on the side lol.

[QUOTE="sixringz1"]This team was a robert horry flagerant foul and a bull **** suspension of stoudamire and diaw away from winning the championship.Witchking111111

Can't come onto the court when you're not in the game.

i know the rule but i really believe there needs to be some objectivity with it. The rule was made for players who come on the court an participate in a fight. neither of them did that. Now i couldn't care either way cause i wasn't a fan of either of those teams but it just seems funny to me that you are that close and you just demolish the entire way you run your team. You pick up grant hill who can't hit a jump shot outside 15 ft, which is bad enough for that offense, but then you pick up shaq who does nothing but take up space. Steve Kerr got them on this one. If they really felt they needed a trade they should have made a stronger push for Garnett and if that didn't work, they should have made a trade for Gasol. Both of which are 7 footers who can defend the paint and are agile scorers who can also face up from 10-15 ft the same way Stoudamire does.

i've been saying this for years. in fact back when i was in college i actually did a presentation/report on censorship in video games and the age bracket that gamers are. I used this theory and some sources that supported it in part of my report. There is a reason that games are the way they are now as opposed to 20 years ago with the NES and sega master system days. Each generation the games got a little more mature and adult themed because they are catering to the people that started with the NES and continued to grow up. You can't stay 5-6 years old forever, and with all do respect to Mario and Donkey Kong and whoever else you want to name from Nintendo, not everyone who is now in their 20's wants to play those type of games anymore. Now don't get me wrong Nintendo has, for the most part, stuck to their guns with the way they create their system as more family friendly, but the sega systems of the the 90's and the playstations and xbox's of today cater to the people that grew up on the NES simple as that. You can just see a timeline of the growth in mature themes. In the genesis games what was the big thing, Mortal Kombat and the fatalities, then you came to the PS1 and had games like resident evil and silent hill that just scared the hell out of people, then you get last generation with GTA games, and now (along w/ late last generation) the most dominating genre is FPS, which is as violent and mature as you can pretty much get regardless of how authentic the storyline is. I fall into that category of people who grew up playing games and was told i wouldn't play them when i got older. Nearly 20 years later i still play and the industry caters to people like me because i am far from the only one out there like this. I AGREE 100% WITH YOUR THEORY
