[QUOTE="sixringz1"]so that means the 80gb version will allow you to play with both an emulation AS WELL as the actual ps1 and 2 discs themselves? Where the 60gb version just allows you to play the ps1 an 2 discs w/out the emulator? I don't have a ps3 yet but plan on getting one soon and that's why i have these questions. I just want to know which one to get. I havea pretty decent amount of ps1 and 2 games that i will still play and i just want to know if the actual discs will play on either of the ps3's (60 or 80gb)eclipsed4utoo
you have a misunderstanding of what software emulation is on consoles. it's not like the NES emulator that you download for your PC that plays NES games that you download from the internet. it's not like that.
on ALL PS3's, you put the PS1/PS2 game in the disc tray, and the game plays. The way that it works is the difference between the 60GB and the 80GB.
yeah i got that. I have a ps2 and play my ps1 games on it. If it's the same on both the 60 and 80gb version than what are they talking bout with this difference from a "chip" to an emulator. If both function the same way, is there a difference?
