Was anyone else really annoyed after buying the New Xbox Slim on launch and then a week later the Halo Reach Limited edition console gets announced, its ridiculous, its a really good deal aswell so im livid

Stewie-rules

But that always seems to be the problem with jumping straight in on launch day-Either you get better bundles out shortly afterwards or you experience a whole lot of teething problems.

When i bought my first Premium 360 on launch some years back i paid £299.99 for it and what do you know? Few months on they go and reduce the price by about £50 as far as i can remember-But MS were pretty good-they offered a free controller or choice of 2 games for free for early purchasers-So it cushioned the pain!

Saw this for $5 used at GameStop... I'd mostly play online. Do lots of people still play?

Vader993

You obviously dont read the news stories here on Gamespot-The Ps3 has helped to pull Sony outta the red-So I guess they wont give up on gaming anytime soon.

So here is the deal my original 60GB PS3 broke a few months ago and I had it repaired, it was out of warranty so I had to pay, this was fine however when I got it back it broke again with the same problem (ylod) and got it repaired for free. Now it has broken again with the same problem but it's out of warranty again, so my question is: at this point would it be better to just get a slim or just hope for the best and get it repaired again?Dasacant
I sold my 60GB as spares/repairs and got quite a good price for it.Then got my 120Gb Slim and 2nd hand PS2 slim for my PS2 games.Haven't looked back since.

Does this new Xbox 360 get the Red Rings of Death? Thats my main concern right now.

metalkid9

No it doesn't have it. It has a red dot instead.

It actually has one green light in the middle. but it doens't mean that it won't have any problems, it could get a GROD instead. But I really doubt it since it uses the 45nm chip therefore uses less power, and less power means less heat, and less heat means that there is less possibility of having hardware failure due to overheating in which the previous models were infamous for ;)

Like all new hardware though-It'll be early adopters that find any problems, same as i and many others did with the original launch 360s

just registered, on the registration page it says PLEASE NOTE: The warranty offered by SCEA on your PlayStation product(s) is the same whether or not you register. lol does that mean registering was useless?ercyoung
Nah-I think you'll be ok to get repair done once you have registered your console-I mean,Sony can tell when your console was manufactured and shipped to stores by your serial number.

There's a 360 version. I don't know if anyone plays it though.

Oh, OK Thanks for your replies.

I've always got me Halo games-looking forward to getting back online on Halo 3 and trying out ODST
