Crule just built a comp with a new proc thats why i said to re-test it with the new hardware. if you can test in 1920x1080You should really be running the same version of Heaven if you want to compare, you're both running old versions. Current version is 3.0
Secondly, C_Rule benched with his Q9505 so kinda makes comparing moot since you're running an i7 2700K. Having said that I've got an i7 2700K so I did a run of Heaven for you to compare to.
I'm running my 2700K at my 24/7 OC of 4.6GHz (can't be bothered rebooting and changing settings in UEFI) but I downclocked the GPU to the stock OC which is 1058/1502.

I hate waiting...:(
New GPU and some other stuff arrived today, so I thought I'd do a quick comparison.
Nearly 100% improvement over an overclocked 460, shweeeet.
More pics when everything gets here.

2 670s dont equal 4 gigs of ram, it doesnt work that way. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/sli/faq#c26. Nice rig btw!!!Alright, after many months of waiting I finally built my new PC. Here it is...
Specs:
- I7 3770k @ 4.2 GHz
- 2x EVGA GTX 570 1.2gb in SLI
- 16gb GSkill DDR3 1600 RAM
- Asus Maximus V Gene motherboard
- 128gb Crucial M4 SSD
- 750gb Seagate XT
- 1TB 7200 Samsung HDD
- Blu-Ray drive
- Rosewill Thor V2 Case (love it)
I've got it all set up to 3x 23" 1080p monitors.
Speccy:
CPU-Z:
Insides:
Cable Managment (it's a bit messier now, this was before I installed the 3rd drive):
Case:
Desk:
Night (I need a better camera, I strung up lights behind the whole desk, you can kind of see them):
Gaming with the monitors:
Not gaming:
Desktop:
Benchmarks:
3D Mark06:
3D Vantage:
3D Mark11:
The whole 3 monitor thing is pretty neat. I would like to upgrade the GPU to either a single GTX 690 or 2x GTX 670 4gs so I can have the 4 gigs of vRAM I need for the high resolution gaming.

http://www.xs-pc.com/products/watercooling-kits/rasa-750-rx360-watercooling-kit/ xspc has that kit you can check out. That coolance is really expensive for just a pump and 240 radiator, the only upside i see to this kit is you dont really have to mod your case. Another thing if you decided to put a graphics card in the loop later on that radiator is gonna run hot so your not really leaving yourself open for future decisions. If you dont mind getting your hands dirty you can put together a kit and just use a bracket system to mount the radiator outside the case. I can point you in the right direction, I would check out dangerden.com, ekwaterblocks.com and xspc to kind of get an idea of whats available. To check out brackets and mount hardware you can go to frozencpu.com, they should have mounts for top and even stands for any and all radiators. I just did a new watercooled rig and i think all my parts were around 500 but i did the graphics card too. With my next build i was planning on dipping my feet into liquid cooling. I plan on getting a 3770k cpu and I wish to overclock it significantly. After looking at the Corsair h100 I really wasnt impressed. There was alot of negative feedback so I looked into a custom system. Koolance caught my eye. This one in particular I like because it mounts on the top of the case. Now on top of that I have to buy the coolant, the cpu block, the tubing AND the nozzles so in the end it is a bit much. BUT you do get what you pay for... usually. So does anyone have any experience with Koolance and this kind of cooling in general?
The reason im even considering this is because this PC needs to do alot more then be a gaming rig. I need it to be able to stack and align hundreds of pictures as fast as possible. The programs used are very cpu intensive and the faster the clock the more time i save to move onto the next step. So saying I do my homework and go all the way with this setup what can expect exactly temp wise? I imagine 4.5+gh would be easily done so... could 5.0 be possible and run stable? AND of course the life of the cpu concerns me. At such speeds can the wear and tear be prevented with low temps? What exactly would $400 get me?
