http://videocardz.com/32301/amd-not-dropping-radeon-hd-2000-3000-and-4000-series-catalyst-support amd not dropping support just moving to a longer update cycle. Also I remember the days when ati developed drivers and lemme tell you it was'nt pretty. anyone who says that the amd acquisition was a mistake or that amd does a worse job then ati is mistaken, your entitled to your opinion but your wrong. I remember using 3rd party drivers just to get ati cards to work, now the driver support is every month on the month and the cards are competitive and the drivers work. Now don't get me wrong I'm not a fanboy of either gpu manufacturer, I've owned both and love the competition in fact everyone buying a 680 should be thanking amd that the price was a solid 500 rather then the usuall 650. The topic of this post is under researched and irrelevant, I understand your frustration and I hope the good news that they are not dropping support will help you look at amd in a different light.

just looked up a vento.... that is one ugly case. doesn't help that it resembles a dick :|MuD3
you think that resembles a dick? I dont know if i would post that meng. yeh at the time though some people thought it was a cool case. we all thought that it looked like the front of a sport bike. I learned my lesson and switched to lian li cases , simple good construction and lots of modding space.

All I have to say is kudos to you man for making it work. I like the small fan mounted to the cards to feed em. I had an asus vento case that I got talked into buying by some friends and In the end it looked exactly like your fan setup. I did not want to buy a new case, so I did what you did and modified it till it met my performance needs. That case is a lan party hero. By the way your case is way more legit then my old vento that case was a pile of dung, the plastic that made it look cool to some people really just insulated the case and made it even harder to cool

Sorry, what i meant is that i launched it sucessfully once then restarted after downloading the drivers for my mb. When i unplug my hard drive i can still use the installion cd without the computer rebooting, the hard drive is new, and this is a fresh build and install.G-O-A-T
sounds like that the drivers are the culprit. if you cant get windows to boot with those drivers then it sounds like you have one option and thats to just bite the bullet and whipe the old install and do another fresh one. that's the easiest fastest way i can think of.

can you set your bios so it doesn't show the logo but a boot diagnostic window instead? you should find the option in your bios. next let me get this straight your able to fully install windows but after it goes to reboot and launch after installation that is when the loop happens? and what I need to know is if your bios is getting it diagnostic off or if its restarting before testing mem and hard drives. when you unplug your drives does your system ask for a boot disc or does it still loop or hang? also how old is the hard drive you are using for your boot drive? does it have any other partitions on it like earlier windows installs that have not been deleted or is this a fresh build and install?

Ibuypower is offering the new amd apu's and their not bad for a budget build. http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/AMD_A-Series_APU for the price their really hard to beat and you always have the option of adding a dedicated vid card later.
