Every game can't be a great game, there have been bad games in the past, and I'm sure there will be no shortage of terrible games in the future. This is part of gaming, that is why sites such as this one are a vital part of video game culture.
However, when people start suing companies over bad games...because they assumed it would be something else...we start down a dark path.
Developers who are at risk of legal punishment would likely be less willing to take a risk on ANY game.
I don't know if it was any one thing really. I didn't like the main character, and I don't like (in any game) the obligatory "tutorial" missions, and I especially hated the horse controls.
I still try to play it every now and again...give it another go...but I never get more than an hour into the game and I go off and play something else.
@GOGOHeadray @yavix To be fair to Nintendo, the gaming market was MUCH smaller when they were the king of the mountain.
Had there been as many gamers then as there are now..Nintendo's numbers would be MUCH higher.
Not to mention that having the weakest hardware and features doesn't mean a console will fail...hell...look at the ps2, weakest hardware....but blew away microsoft and nintendo in sales for that generation.
On that note, no Wii U for me....at least not for a few years...
I made the mistake of buying a Wii early on...not impressed.
Actually it was the gameplay, not that it was bad, just that it's not for me. The first one I tried to play was MGS1 on he playstation. Then I gave it another shot with MGS4 on the ps3...
