@Macutchi: You cant compare a cut scene to actual in game graphics.

@HardMode88: I cant argue with that. BOTW is deserving of GOTY, with HZ probably a close second, although I havent played that. Heck, Mario might even win it from what I've read.

@Macutchi: UC4 had good facial animation but it was cartoonish compared to the almost photo like LA Noise stuff. Plus there was an engine built just for that and the little facial ticks were just exceptional. I would love RStar to use that in RDR2 but they clearly arent.

Cant see a lot of difference tbh.

Anyway, it still amazes that almost 5 years after the original release, not a single game has even come close to matching the facial animations in this, let alone surpassing them.

@john_coronado: For me a great game must have a certain level of outstanding achievement, in terms of graphics, sound, controls, gameplay and gameplay mechanics and in this case, open world building, BOTW is good or very good but it is not outstanding.

None of that is to say its not a good game. It is very good but falls short of Ocarina and Majora's Mask as great Zelda games.

Anyway, as its the only one Ive completed, I have no problem in it being GOTY.

I WAS A MASSIVE FAN OF dmc3 and the reboot was a very good game as well. Beautiful, with great art design and some exceptional combinations and action sequences. My only problem was the boring story and that boring female character.

Ninty have had a pretty good year, considering how bad the WiiU years were and they have at least 2 genuine AAA exclusives....the problem for 2018 and beyond is 3rd party support. Games released 5 or more years ago, coming to the Switch is not support and nor do they sell well. Unless the company will be releasing AAA exclusives of the quality of Zelda and Mario every year, with at least 2 or 3 years, its going to end up like a gaming graveyard equivalent to every Nintendo console post SNES.

I never played the sequel considering the controversy around the original, I knew that it would be watered down and thats what I heard.

For me, the first was a once in a gaming life time experience and controversy aside, it was a very good stealth game with solid mechanics.

The addition of a career mode, on paper, seems great but will it be as in depth as the version we saw across the PS2 and PS3 era? Is it worth it with the limited numbers of cars (I know more are being added) and tracks (I know some more are supposedly on the way) and ultimately, what is the point of the game if you can only save while online ?Why is that even necessary? It is a massive problem that needs to be solved.
