[QUOTE="soulreaper-4"][QUOTE="gbpackers94"]If you play too long it will over heat and then just shut off. Nothing bad will really happen other than maybe losing what ever you were doing.gbpackers94They system gets very hot in the bottom but it have never blink and shut down. Mine only turned off once, I never really touch it, but the only time mine really gets hot is when I play Fallout 3 for 6 hours at a time. When this happens, sometimes it freezes up, but it's no big deal. If open the thing and clean the fan will GameStop still take it for a trade-in if the problem get worse and it doesn't have the warranty sticker?

Do you think that as long as the lights don't blink and the system shut down it is normal?I wouldnt worry if I were you. It cleary states in the manual that the product may become hot under general use.... Unless it's extremely hot (untouchable) then it isnt a problem.

i have honestly never touched the bottom of my ps3 when i have been using it. I would imagine it would get quite hot. Maybe you are being a little paranoid?thetruespinI hope is me and what about increase in fan noise?
I'm worry cause I've noticed that the bottom of my PS3 is getting very hot in less than an hour. What should i do? Is this a problem? I'm getting tired of having problems with my PS3, My first one was a 40GB and the touch panelwasn'tworking, i sent it to Sony and received a refurbished after that i bought a 80GB model which i sent last June for a problem with the disc slot and now I'm noticing this.
I woul like to know if yours are like this and if there's something wrong with my system and yes it is well ventilated.
