Going to get the slim and transfer the save files, some of them are locked and I don't know if BACKUP HDD will transfer them. Im going to use my 4gb flash drive and delete the game installations so the system just backs up the save files. will the locked ones transfer?

Great. Now we're going to have game collections composed of two completely different looking boxes for the same system. Hopefully they stay the same.

And i think u r wrong the ps3 slim is faster and queiter compared to the phat man i hope they release faceplates or a whole body makeover since it looks like it could be taken apart easily and they would make more money fo sho,

not sure if slim uses cheaper parts or if it uses better parts besides the smaller chip
