[QUOTE="soulreaper-4"]I really don't trust Nintendo as before and i really don't believe the Wii will last a lot more time like 2 years. I don't want to cause a flame war and i am not a troll but the truth is the truth the competition have way better games than the non Nintendo tittles available for Wii, they have more powerful consoles wtih way better graphics capabilities and HD compatabilities plus way better online and after sony realises their Wii Remote copy they will have a way superior Wii with more variety.

I bought my Wii on lunch but the truth is i had to buy a PS3 because the only games that interest me for the Wii are the ones made from Nintendo. If i were with the Wii only i will be missing a lot of awsome games like, uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 2, Super Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Soul Calibur IV and much more. This is only a small example of why i hope the Wii succesor will be on par with the competition.

It's not a matter of trust, but a matter of examing the situation at hand logically. Nintendo was able to sustain BOTH the N64 and GameCube for five years, and those two systems were in a far worse position in terms of market positioning, support, and future outlook than the Wii is now. What sense would it make for Nintendo to ax the Wii at this point? If the Wii was struggling to sale, I could see the reasoning behind your point, but Nintendo's having trouble keeping supplies in stock for people to buy these days, not having trouble actually selling console units on shelves. Factor in the continued success of the system, items like MotionPlus and the Vitality Sensor still fresh or yet to be properly introduced from a software side of things respectively, and the software side of things finally starting to gain a sense of variety, and everything suggests that the Wii will be around for 2 years, if not longer!

I respect your opinions and all, but none of that's really relevant to the point of the Wii being able to sustain itself. It's still selling systems at a faster rate than anything else on the market not named the DS, and it still has potential to be more than what it is. That in itself is enough to keep it going. The 'advantages' the HD systems have had to this point haven't done anything to steal the Wii's thunder, and it's way to early to say what their motion-controlled add-ons will be able to impact, especially without Nintendo's games. The Wii has been successful only because it's the Wii, and as of now, ONLY the Wii is the Wii (I hope that makes sense).

Actually Nintendo isn't having trouble maintaining supplys of the Wii, that happened long ago. After the ariival of the next Zelda i am preatty sure the Wii will be replace by a successor just like when Majoras Mask arrived for the N64. Motion Plus real capabilities will be show in the upcoming Zelda just like what happened with Majoras Mask. This is what i think, i am no Nintendo Representative to know for sure.

Of course it was made to also be used sideways. They knew it would be used for playing NES games. You can't create a controller that has the ergonomic feel you want holding it two different ways. It feels fine to me, I don't know if the game has classic controller support or not.

Nope, cero classic compatabilitie.

I don' t know if it is me or what but i really find playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii very awkward with the remote sideways. Specially after playing for an hour. I think the remote wasn't really made to play sideways since vertically it is ergonomic and fells great to the hands.

[QUOTE="soulreaper-4"][QUOTE="DJ_Lae"]Because other than Monter Hunter Tri there's been nothing decent released for the Wii recently? There will be other good games released in the fall, no reason not to throw us a bone now.Madmangamer364

Monster Hunter 3 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom are great but in my opinion i think the end of the Wii is near us waiting to surprise us. Manybe Nintendo will show the so called and rumored Wii HD or Wii 2.

Sure, there have been games like MH3, TvC, and Red Steel 2 that have recently been released on the Wii, but none of those games are at the level of driving the system's sales. Those games are having tough enough of a time keeping themselves relevant among pre-existing Wii owners, to be frank. Without Galaxy 2, we're looking at a situation where the only thing that would even make people look at the Wii is the Wii itself, much like how it was last year. That's still enough to keep things going, but a legit must-have game definitely helps the cause, and the Wii will have that game VERY soon.

The Wii still has plenty of life left within it, and there isn't much evidence out there to suggest that Nintendo's ready to move forward or in a different direction. Sales are still strong, quality titles are still in development, and there's still plenty of potential left within the system and its tools. As long as Nintendo itself is pushing the system, there's not much more it needs to keep going, and I don't think Nintendo will move on until it can't get much more out of it. If Galaxy 2's any indication, the Big N might just be getting warmed up! :P

hopefully it's because of Zeldafunsohng
I hope so because this seems like the Wii is near its end. Nintendo always lunch a game like Mario Galaxy 2 before the holiday when a console is going out of the market.

Since i got my hands of the Wii Remote i thing Nintendo should have made them with a matte top instead of the glossy plastic. I don't like the glossy top not because it looks bad but because it gets scratched by only looking at it. Matte shold be cooler.:)

It's because Wii Party will be the stronger title

I don't think Nintendo is going to be so confident in that game.

No, they weren't confident in Mario Party because Mario can't moves games like he did for them in previous generations

The Wii branded titles are gold on the Wii, even the title that Nintendo said they weren't happy with sold 2.8 million. The Wii titles sell even when they mess them up.

No offence but "Wii Party" is not a holiday tittle everyone wil ge crazy.
