The Wii is well known for it's defects

1. While trying to keep up with demand there were complete runs of consoles that never got the correct heatsink and that means there's many of Wii's out there that don't have the proper cooling and over time will fail.

2. The lens problem with the Wii that made Nintendo come out with the lens cleaner to avoid having to take care of the consoles themselves. It's better for Nintendo to make a profit then for Nintendo to pay you to get the console and then repair the faulty lens.

3. The bearings in the launch Wii's are hit or miss. I know that I had to agree to not get my original Wii back so they could completely dissect it and see why so many fans were failing all around the same time from the launch set

I've had to send it back twice and I've had one repaired and then one new one

It's not out of the realm of possibility that others would have to send theirs back as well

It's been 20 DAYS!!! Just play the games and worry about it if it becomes an actual issue. Sounds like you're describing superficial surface scratching, likely being caused by, as someone else said, scuffing when taking the game out of the system or putting it in. That or it could be small cracks from taking the discs out of their cases improperly. Either way, from what you're describing, it's nothing. At all. Play the games!!! And the comment about 88+ games doesn't make sense. I have 150+ games. Not bragging, it's just the case. But I don't go OCD when I see lines on the center of a disc. Don't take that as an insult, it isn't one. But why are you so worried???i_noseworthy

i sort of wonder if the psp 2 will be full digital distribution like the Go. IMO, digital distribution does seem to make more practical sense on a handheld as opposed to a console. Games are smaller, no need to carry around discs, handheld can be made more portable, etc. As long as sony kept the price of games reasonable and competitive (I kno, thats a big IF), I'd be all for full digital distribution for the next handheld.

Why is it that every gen lasts about 5 years and even when we have our 5 year old systems people try to argue and complain against something new? The PSP has less graphics power than Zune HD. Zune is a music player with MINI GAMES, those are not real games! Why should we go along with having our former handheld power house looking like garbage next to a music player! Announcements don't mean that the system is there that day either. We don't know how long developement for this has been, so there is no way we can say this has been rushed or hasn't been. I know that the systems right now are all good but every 5 years things are stale not only in the graphics department, almost everything is a sequel now days. There is no reason why Sony couldn't keep up with the competition and if they have less to put out about their system then that's what it is but I'm sure many of us would be happy to see something or at least hear something.

Man what's happening with Nintendo? These are some of the cheapeast and uglyest Pokemon designs i have ever seen. By the looks of this Black and White are going the route of Ruby and Saphire. What do you think? The only one that doesn't look that bad is the grass one.
