What controls you need depend on the game. For N64 games, you need a classic controller or a GC controller beacause the wiimote does not have enough buttons. Every VC game works with the classic controller and GC controller though. Wiiware games are all different. When you download a game, it will always list all the compatable controlers.

And yes, you can move/save/copy VC games to an SD card, but even on an SD card, they will only play on the wii they were downloaded on. The SD card is only for extra storage, not for taking VC games to your friend's house.

Most likely your laser is dying or your PS3 is overheating. I remember last summer I had my PS3 in my bedroom upstairs which the room would be about 90 degrees and games would keep freezing or there would be a lot of glitches with lots of different games. I moved my PS3 to the basement and all the problems went away since my basement is about 65 degrees or so. ExoticAnimal

It is not overheating becase when the system overheats itshutdown by itself and the power light beging to flash red.

not exactly a problem, but it heats up very rapidly. but won't you wait for the release of CECH21XX model? the new GPU uses less power, hence less heating problems. it MAY be cheaper too.

The only problem that my Slim gets is that it makes cracking noises after being turned off, but that's just the plastic cooling down. Other than that, I have no problems with the Slim.tekken220

Mine has frozen up about 20 times, including about 5 times where it wouldn't even shut off pressing the power button. I had to unplug it. :| My 60GB I've had since launch has frozen up like 5 times, all while using the internet browser. And from threads I've seen on here before, I'm not the only one experiencing frequent freezing with the slim. Doolz2024

Thanks guys. I just don't want to get the Slim tomorrow and then it craps out on me 2 days later like the 40GB did.

I heard very few stories about people who got their Slims YLoD and I can't guarantee that they weren't trolling. But I wouldn't worry about a thing :)scar-hawk

Yeah, I gave them a call this morning.

They said to go buy a Wii lens cleaning kit.

I just got back from GS tried the cleaning kit and when I pulled it out their was next to zero dirt (I knew I kept it clean) and no games would still work!

I just called them back and they set up a repair which sucks because now I'm gonna be out $60 and I'll have to miss SMG2 by a couple weeks :(

At least they knocked $15 off of my repair bill because they made me waste $ on the Wii lens kit which didn't work...

I knew the PS3 had some issues, I think its the yellow light of death or something, but the wii seems to be the least likely to konk out of the 3. Never heard of it failing till now.
